Lead Instructor of Filipino Martial Arts @ Mabangis Kali 2007 – 2009 After coming back from the Philippines where I trained for 4 months with the Marines’ Force Recon instructor Rommel Tortal, I opened a small school where the focus was on tactical training. Co-Founder & lead Instructor @ Maelstrom Martial Arts 2003 - 2013 Designed curriculums and taught classes for beginners, intermediate and advance students, in Pekiti Tirsia Kali, Mande Muda and Jati Wissesa Silat and Krabi Krabong Created several marketing strategies still in use to this day. In Addition, these strategies have been emulated by other martial arts clubs to promote their own services. Performed as the administrator. Like many, my introduction to martial arts was taekwondo in 1986 – 87 with lead instructor Nicole Carmel. Since then, my experience has expanded to include many more styles. While my main influences remain Pekiti Tirsia kali and kick-boxing, several instructors have contributed and continue to contribute to my training.

I wish to acknowledge their invaluable expertise.
