These statistics show that the main target audience is mainly for the male audience and there is a greater percentage of Male readers compared to the female audiences. That’s because this is a recent update of statistics on the mojo magazine. If you look at these magazines below, you can see that the main figure for this Magazine in comparison is male celebrities and musical artists. The influences more men to buy it.

Over all the average age range for the MOJO magazine is around 45-50 with a great percentage of 25.8% . This is because the genre’s and information is of an older understanding. With music histories from the older generation. Mojo goes Motown. This edition of Mojo magazine is a special edition, showing Mojo going Motown. Initially I want my music magazine to have similar features as this one. Showing that it can be versatile in its approach to music, and how they use famous legendary artists to represent this magazine issue.Normally this magazine features old male pop artists and rock artists. Showing a more mature feel throughout the magazines. This one has a more fun and memorable feel to the magazine. By using some black and white images to it as well, and older stereotypical colours such as browns, creams, golds and greens. The characters used to present this are older black families that have come together to make this banner significantly united.

According to Mojo

They had Motown’s breakthrough hit, the all-frugging Do You Love Me. Phil Alexander hears their tale first-hand.THEIRS WAS A SOUND that appeared to precede the polished pop carefully cultivated on the Hitsville assembly line. Rougher and tougher, The Contours were a

group whose roots lay firmly planted in deep R&B territory and whose vocals retained a streetwise edge that separated them from their more sophisticated-sounding label mates (and friends) like The Temptations and The Miracles, all of whom would enjoy greater commercial success. And yet, while the five-piece of Billy Gordon, Billy Hoggs, Hubert Johnson, Joe Billingslea and Leroy Fair, struggled to make an impact with their first single, 1961’s Whole Lotta Woman, it proved to be a case of third-time-lucky for one of Motown’s most atypical acts.

Why I chose this magazine.

I chose this magazine because I like the feel to it, the fact that it is of an older generation intrigues me to make mine fit younger genres too. The genre I'm going for is Motown because its one of my favourite music genres. But I want to try and make my final magazine appeal to my age and my gender; female. Usually its targeted at older Males, so I want to make mine aimed at Younger Females. (18-25)

What we see here is Kate Bush in all three of these magazines which is significant because women on the front cover of MOJO magazine is rare.
