INTRODUCTION

The ASEAN Science, Technology and Innovation Week (ASTIW) is an important event of the ASEAN

Committee on Science and Technology (ASEAN COST) and is conducted triennially on a rotational basis

among ASEAN countries. The 1st-9th ASEAN S&T Week have been successfully organized in 1986 to 2014.

With a theme of “Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable, Inclusive and Equitable Growth”,

the 10th ASTI week will be celebrated in conjunction with the ASEAN STI Exhibition and the ASEAN STI

Conference in the period of October 12th-20th, 2017, Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

The ASTIW event, since it was created for the first time, has main purpose to promote STI development in

Southeast Asian Countries.

It will open windows of opportunities for regional scientists, technologists, researchers, academicians,

government officials, practitioners and private sectors, to interact and to promote networking, as well as to

expand their STI cooperation.

ASEAN STI Exhibition will be conducted for the period of 3 days. The STI exhibition is aimed to

showcase the STI achievements in ASEAN member countries. A concurrent exhibition will be

organized along theme of “Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable, Inclusive and

Equitable Growth”.

Each ASEAN Member States will be provided with one (1) free standard booth. Additional space

will be subject to a booth rental of USD$ 1200.00 - 2000.00/booth.

OBJECTIVES

To enhance awareness of ASEAN community to the importance of Science, Technology and Innovation, in

order to strengthen ASEAN competitiveness and to support economic growth within ASEAN member

countries:
