How can effective management be ensured? The main tools:

Issues of Russian cities: plenary session with the support of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of
the Russian Federation, with the participation of the Ministry of Regional Development, presentation of the results of a study on
Russian cities (curator of research – Higher School of Economics, Graduate School of Urban Studies).
CONFERENCE "INVOLVEMENT OF CITIZENS IN CITY MANAGEMENT, SERVICES OF THE MOSCOW GOVERNMENT”
The conference will focus on issues of open government, and direct interaction between citizens and the municipal authorities
through electronic services and other advanced technologies. The event will include thematic roundtables and discussions,
lectures by experts, exhibitions, presentations of the experience and projects of the Moscow Government, as well as strategic
closed sessions.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
URBAN TALKS – a scientific conference for experts and professionals in urbanism, architecture and urban planning.
SCHOOL FOR CITY PLANNERS (with ISOCARP*) – young city planners study and propose solutions for the development of a
specific area of Moscow. The results of their work will be presented during the Forum’s Open Day for Citizens.
ROAD SHOW for foreign investors (in conjunction with the Urban Land Institute).
* ISOCARP (the International Society of City and Regional Planners) is a worldwide association of city and regional planners from more than 80
countries. Founded in 1965, ISOCARP is a non-governmental organisation recognised by the United Nations, the Council of Europe and UN-Habitat.

International research "Global Cities and Nation-states. Partnership for Success: Past, Present and Future "
Moscow research "Master Plan" and "New Moscow"
Study on Russian cities "Fight for Citizens: Human Potential and the Urban Environment" The research is interdisciplinary in nature and focuses on the most important challenges for cities or groups of cities.
The results of the research will serve as the basis for discussions at the Forum and will be presented during plenary sessions.
Results of the PwC rating “From Moscow to Sao Pãulo” - the E7 Cities of Opportunity rating, covering 7 world cites including
Moscow, will also be presented at the Forum
Every year the Moscow Urban Forum performs research with the aim of identifying global and local trends in relation to the
development of megacities. The issues covered by each consecutive research project are determined by the theme of the Forum
and are based on the results of a survey of foreign and Russian experts
