Dear Mrs Grocott,

Please find below my quotation for the installation of 1.5 kwpeak comprising 6 JAY solar JKAM6-60 250watt panels mounted on one West facing roof.

I have simulated the returns for each proposal using both the Standard Assessment Procedure laid out in themcs certification guidelines and also with the aid of dedicated specialist analytical software created by thephotovoltaic department of the University of Geneva PV Syst. I have attached the simulations and thecalculations for the financial returns.

I have summarised the results for your convenience in the table on page 3. There is almost no shadingcompromise on the system.

Please be advised that from April 1 on order to qualify for the feed in tariff the property will need todemonstrate an energy efficiency level of D or above via an energy performance certificate. CompletePlumbing Clean energy will be very pleased to carry out this survey.

Please also be advised that s structural survey will be required to ensure that the roof will support the loadsrequired for the pv system . This survey can be provided by your own structural engineer. If oyu require us tocarry out and provide the survey we will be happy to make the necessary arrangements . However for this theroof structural timbers will need to be visible by an inspector.

Should you have any queries at all please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Nick Cotton

Item 3

To install but not to supply 6 of JAY Solar JAM6-60 250 wattssolar modules on one west facing roof.

To allow for working with your own building contractor toremove and replace tiles as requiredFor the penetration of the roof surface for the passage of pipesand cables and for the installation but not supply of appropriateflashings.(These estimates do not allow for the provision of safe high levelaccess to be provided by your own contractor)

To allow for the installation of solar pv inverters isolators cablesand materials including the supply of 4mm twin and earth cableand to allow for connection to the existing consumer unitproviding the consumer unit has a spare fuse-way suitable for theconnection of the solar system. The cable from the consumer unitto be run by your own contractor.

To allow for the carrying out of all electrical installation tests andfor the testing and commissioning of the solar pv array includingopen circuit voltage and closed circuit current tests depending onthe insolation rate at the time of commissioning.

To make available all test reports and test commissioningcertificates.

For additional works outside the scope of this quotation or forvariations to the agreed works an hourly rate of £45 per hour plusvat will apply as per our terms and conditions attached

As above but to supply LG250 SIC black frame modules

Kwh stands for kilowatt hours which is the unit electricity usage is measured in. The Feed in tariff pays 43p at current levels for each unitgenerated by the system plus 4p for half the total generated which is assumed will be fed back to the grid. In addition it is assumed that halfthe total will be used in the property and so will yield returns from using your own electricity rather than buying electricity at 13p a unit from

your electricity supplier.

Notes for your attention:

Please be advised that it is an assumption of our quotation that the roof structure is of suitable construction and state of repair asto be sufficient to support the installation of your solar panels. Our quotation will not normally allow for a structural survey ofyour roof. Should you have concerns about the roof structure we will be happy to commission a survey on your behalf.Otherwise complete plumbing clean energy cannot accept any responsibility for the structure of the roof beyond ourprofessional responsibility to ensure that the roof is not compromised in any way by the installation of the solar panelsthemselves.

Should at the time of installation our engineers become concerned about the state of the roof or the roof timbers we will bringour concerns to your attention and seek to agree with you a suitable way forward.

Should you agree to our quotation we would seek a deposit of 40% of the total value of the contract. Should the roof beunsuitable for the installation of the panels or work required to increase the load bearing capacity of the roof be uneconomic adeduction of £350 will be made to cover costs of the survey and the deposit returned.

Following the installation of the system Complete Plumbing will seek payment in full for all works carried out and materialssupplied. On receipt of payment in full Complete Plumbing will issue within 48 hours issue a mcs certificate and record theinstallation on the OFGEM database. The owner of the system will send the mcs certificate to the electricity supplier and fromthat date will be eligible for the feed in tariff payments.

Please be advised that in a situation where additional works beyond these estimates become advisable or necessary charges willbe applied on a strictly time and materials basis the rate for which is included in the text of your quotation.

Important Note Please be advised that while we would not expect the installation to require planning permission, as planningpermission is normally only required for listed buildings or areas of outstanding natural beauty. However in some areasplanning permission may be required for flat roof installations. We will not make planning enquiries unless specificallyrequested to do so. Should you wish us to make such enquiries Please inform us in writing. Charges may apply.

Tarriffs are set to deliver an approximate rate of return of 5-8% for well sited installations

As the tarrifs are linked to inflation in nominal terms the rate of return could therefore beconsidered to be approximatly 7-10%

In the 2009 pre budget report the chancellor confirmed that households who use renewable technologyto generate electricity mainly for own use will not be subject to income tax on feed in tarrifs.

Complete Plumbing and Heating Service Ltd played a major part as a sub-contractor. Their standard of workwas very good and included the installation of the Solar and Photo Voltaic panels with related pipework andequipment as well as the more general plumbing work.

The project was completed very satisfactorily within budget and with the submission of a reference manuallisting the work done. On completion the Company provided a briefing explaining the system and the controlmethodology. We were very pleased with the quality work and helpfulness of all involved.

We asked three companies to provide us with an estimate to install PV panels, CPHS was not only the mostthorough of the three in terms of survey they undertook but they also came up with the most cost effectiveproposal. The installation went pretty smoothly and the system works well.
