It’s Your World!(Mapping Project)

1st Step for the Project You are going to pick a location from the Map of the

Cretaceous Period of the Earth that you will settle your tribe. (See Next Slide For Original Map)

You will make a detailed map of the area that you have chosen. Labeling all the major points and possible resources.

You may have to use your imagination as to what would be there, but be aware that you will have to account for why you believed it would be there. Ex. Coal

would not be found in a wet swampy area, or trees in a dessert. This Will be DUE:

2nd Step for the ProjectOnce your map is complete you will need to:

Write a report telling me why you chose this area. This needs to be a minimum of 3 paragraphs:

a) One about the area such as resources and materials that drew you to the area.

b) What would life be like in the area? What challenges or benefits come from the area?

c) What Needs/Resources would your tribe have to find elsewhere?

This should be roughly a page worth of information typed.

3rd Step for the ProjectOnce your map is complete you will need to:

Last you must research where your location would be now in the Modern World.

What resources would you really have? Estimate if you think your tribe would have been able

to survive living in the location you picked. Tell me what adaptations they would have had to make

to survive. This should be roughly a page worth of information typed.
