MR Blu-Coat lenses from MR Lenses are designed with the daily protection of eyes in mind, and more speci�cally, the protection from the blue-violet light we are all exposed to on a daily basis. The hard wearing coating formula that we use takes into account our increased daily exposure to blue light, both natural and arti�cial, as well as the wear and tear and damage that lenses can be exposed to on a daily basis.

Our coating has been formulated with protection, without the compromise of perfect vision, as the objective.

WHAT IS BLUE LIGHT AND HOW CAN IT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EYES?

Blue-violet light can be found in both natural and arti�cial surroundings. Natural sunlight contains potentially harmful UV and blue-violet rays, and televisions, computer monitors, mobile devices, and laptops also emit blue light. As we are relying on these devices more and more, we are more at risk from the potential damage it can cause to our vision and our overall health.

Health conditions caused by overexposure to blue light include:

Increased risk of long term damage and decreased vision as we age through age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Short term and long term eye strain which can lead to tiredness, neck and back pain, and headaches.

Sleep deprivation – Blue-violet light can negatively a�ect sleep patterns.

A unique set of layers make our lenses tougher, more durable, higher impact and scratch resistant than most other lenses available.

MR Blu-Coat is o�ered in combination with MR-ClarityAR & MR-ClarityPlus+ as standard. Block UV and blue light by as much as 20%.

Filters all blue lights between 400-500mm wavelength.

Dust free - avoid dust and smudge accumulation on the lens.

Can be used to protect against natural (sunlight) and unnatural (mobile devices, TV screens, laptop screens) blue light.

No alteration in color perception.

Our coating doesn’t compromise the wearer’s vision.
