The movie stars Mark Wahlberg who plays Tommy Saunders a Boston Police Sergeant who is assigned to a security detail. The many real life and few fictitious charac- ters portrayed throughout the movie are smartly intertwined together as they work to save the wounded and commence the manhunt for the unknown suspect who committed this heinous act. Movie goers are shown not only the carnage, but the undying love and compassion for others as both bystanders and professionals join forces to save the wounded. Local law enforcement and the FBI come together in the hunt for a suspect. Within hours they know they are looking not for one suspect, but two terrorists, thanks to the aid of video surveillance. From that, two grainy unknown faces in still photos become wanted terrorists and from that two brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, become terrorists wanted dead or alive. Patriots Day is a rated R drama with violence, graphic injury scenes, and intense police action. Patriots Day is more than worth the price of admission as it provides the viewer with a behind the scenes look at the Boston Marathon bombing as ordinary people and medical responders worked to save the wounded and law enforcement worked tirelessly to hunt down the terrorists. Mia is a struggling actress that serves coffee in between auditions. Sebastian bounces around from club to club struggling as a jazz pianist. Fate seems to keep drawing them together and as each begins to experience success they are presented with choices that could make or break their dreams and relationship. Come along for the ride as they try to figure out which is more important, love or their dreams.  La La Land is aptly named for the singing and the reference to Los Angeles. This musical has the feel of an old film set in the modern era. There is a little language that parents should be aware of but not much else, rated PG-13 for some language. Some may find the ending unsatisfying but overall this is a greatly fun movie. Overall I give it a 4.5 out of 5 tickets.
