The ILO is looking for a repository with a URL format, thus the need to setup our web services first. a) Goto Add⁄Remove Programs - Component Services b) Select Internet Information Services (IIS) - Then select Details c) Next select World Wide Web service to activate web server service

    c) Next select World Wide Web service to activate web server service

  • d) Next select WWW service and details again and click OK to add

    e) Create a directory on the drive where you have enough space for the ISOs and copy the ISOs to dir.

  • Example, I have three ISOs. Create the following: ex: D:\WWW\3202_APPS\iso_name.iso ex: D:\WWW\3202_platform\iso_name.iso ex: D:\WWW\CWEB\iso_name.iso

    f) Next copy some support files over to your new WWW directory. Files are located as shown below.

    g) Next goto Control Panel, Administrative Tools and Select Internet Information Services

  • h) Navigate to the "Default Web Site"

  • i) Right on the Default Web Site link and select properties

  • j) Below are all pics of the essential tabs and their settings All the other tabs were left as default.

  • Note!!!

    k) Once you have everything configured the way you want,

    you need to stop and start the web service via right click properties.

    2> Now that we have our environment all setup, we can try to mount the ISO from the ILO. a) Now connect to ILO port of the machine you want to load. my ex: DAS164 10.16.33.36 It is assumed you know how to connect to the ILO.

    b) Navigate to the Virtual Media tab and complete the following:

    c) Once you have entered this information POWER OFF THE BOX from the power management tab.

  • d) Go back to your WWW service and make sure it is still running

    e) Power off the box

  • f) Now Power it back on

    g) Open up a remote console to box

    h) There you go, 3.2.0.3 Platform CD loaded.
