AROUND OUR DIOCESE

There has been a lot of progress on issue work; The Jacksonville

Reentry Center is all set to start reaching new clients with their additional $900,000 in funding. This funding allowed them to hire five new staff members that can address the mental health and job needs of the people. Upon release from incarceration, clients are offered assistance with day to day functions, such as life skills and filing for social services. The center offers clients hope and the education needed to re-enter society, thus reducing the chances of returning to a life of crime. On Thursday, February 2nd at 6:30, there will be a JUSTICE MINIS-TRY NETWORK MEMBER MEETING in Bizier Hall. This includes all Team members and committed JMN members and anyone interested in learning more about ICARE . JUSTICE is important work but requires numbers of people in order for our elected officials to listen to what we have to say about making Jacksonville a more just and better place for us to live. Questions? Call Pat Meisner at 334-3534.

Do you have a green thumb? Do you have a special love for

plants and flowers? Did you make a resolution to help your church out more by volunteering? You are welcome to join the Eden committee on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at 7:30 am. We will be cleaning up just in time for spring. Questions? Call Kathy at 868-9781.
