What is teaching with Moodle like?

• As the teacher you have full control over all settings for a course• Choice of formats for your course such as by week, by topic etc.• Course activities include Forums, Journals, Quizzes, Resources,

Choices, Surveys, Assignments, Chats, and Workshops • Changes to the course since the last login can be displayed on the

home page – (gives your students a sense of community) • Activity reports for each student available with graphs and details

about each module (last access, number of times read) as well as each student’s involvement including postings, journal entries etc.

• Mail is integrated: copies of forum posts, teacher feedback etc. can be mailed in HTML or plain text

• You can define your own scales for grading forums, assignments and journals
