Program Highlights

• Program is part of an integrated hospital and health system with 11 branch clinic locations serving southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

• State-of-the-art facility opened in 2012 featuring LEED-silver designation and high-fidelity simula-tion center.

• More than 10% of the medical staff are osteo-pathic physicians. Over 75% of the medical staff are involved in teaching programs with students, residents and fellows.

• Life, disability,health, vision and dental insurance are available to residents as well as a relocation allowance and CME stipend.

• Rural community of 10,000 located approx. 1 hour from Madison, WI and 2 hours from Chicago, IL.

Monroe Clinic has been a teaching site for the University of Wisconsin for over 60 years and has hosted resident rotations for 20 years. Fellowships are available for Family Medicine trained physicians including Hospitalist and Emergency Medicine.

• Residents build patient base in continuity care clinic over the three year program

• Rotations follow ACOFP guidelines with elec-tives available based on resident interest

• Offered as a 1-2 program with the first year rotations held in Rockford, IL and remaining two years in Monroe, WI

• OMM training available through the Heartland OPTI and as part of some rotations

• Strong emphasis on outpatient procedures avail-able through Minor Procedures Clinic

Resident Call

PGY-1 call is night float in Rockford once every 4-7 days. In the PGY-2 and PGY-3 years, residents take home call in Monroe once every 7 days.
