CAREER HISTORY:Database Specialist at MTN Sudan company Co.Ltd in Khartoum, Sudan. [From December 2014 - Present]Duties & Responsibilities:
ÿ Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.ÿ Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures.ÿ Take care of the Database design and implementation.ÿ Implement and maintain database security (working with internal and external auditors to close audit points
and findings).ÿ Enforce and maintain data integrity and accuracy.ÿ Develop shell script to monitor database environment and automate DBA tasks.ÿ Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.ÿ Perform application tuning and performance optimizing.ÿ Setup and maintain documentation and standards for DBA procedures.ÿ Plan growth and changes (capacity planning).ÿ Provide 7x24 support when required.ÿ Perform technical support, general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development team.ÿ Taking part in the preparation and execution of technical tests. ÿ Identifying and escalating immediately any risks to the database service.

Projects and achievements:ÿ TABSDB Migration Project:Migrate TABSDB (Billing system for all postpaid subscribers) from Oracle 9i to Oracle 11g RAC with twoinstances [Jan 2015].ÿ Data Guard Solution for VAS Department DB:Implement Data Guard solution for MSDP DB (Value Added Service live database) to provide high availability for the VAS Services subscriptions [Jun 2015].ÿ Resource Management Project:Implement resource management on all Oracle DB's we managed, to restrict using of the DB resources by the end users [Jul 2015].
ÿ In Memory Database For APPSDB Project:Implement In-Memory Database concept to Application Database (Company ticketing system + Data entery system ) after migrating the database from Oracle 11g to Oracle 12c [Dec 2015].ÿ RADB Migration Project:Migrate Revenue Assurance database from oracle 10g in windows server 2003 environment to oracle 11g in Red-Hat 5 environment [Jan 2016].ÿ Team member of Offline & Data Mart HW upgrade project:Increase Database memory and storage after Upgrade Offline & Data Mart Server [Feb 2016].ÿ Team Member of Near Real Time Processing Project:The primary goal of this project is to decrease the processing time of the files (from receiving it until loading it to the DB) [Apr 2016].
