Modals of possibility and certainty ( may, might, will)

are used to talk about things that are possible in the present or the future,

but which we are not sure about.

Los verbos modales de posibilidad y certeza (may,might,will) se utilizan para hablar sobre cosas que son posibles

en el presente o el futuro, pero de las que no estamos seguros.

We use “will” when something is more certain to happen or

when something is definite or sure to happen.

Will

Utilizamos “will” cuando algo es mas seguro que suceda o cuando algo esdefinitivo o seguro que ocurra.

For example:

We often use “will” with words like “definitely” and “probably”.

It will probably be colder tomorrow.Es probable que esté más frío mañana.

May/might

“might” and “may” are used when we are less certain about something.

“might” y “may” son utilizados cuando estamos menos seguros acerca de algo.

For example:

I may go up to the mountains.(it depends on the weather, so it isn´t

Watch out !!

“May” and “might” have almost the same meaning, but might is a little less formal than may and also more common than may.

“may” y “might” tienen casi el mismosignificado,pero might es un poco menos

formal que may y también más común quemay.
