    Day 1: Arrival in Cochin

    Arrive in Cochin and transfer to your hotel.After checking in, enjoy the rest of the day

    at leisure. Time permitting, you may wish

    to explore the local market. Enjoy dinner

    and a comfortable overnight stay at the

    hotel.

    Day 2: Cochin - MunnarEnjoy a sightseeing tour of Fort Kochi

    covering the Dutch Palace, the Jewish

    Synagogue and St. Francis church. Also

    stop for a look at the Chinese Fishing Nets

    unique to this place. After a typical ethnic

    lunch, drive to Munnar and check into your

    hotel. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay

    at the hotel.

    Day 3: MunnarEnjoy a sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit

    the Tata Tea Museum for a glimpse of the

    history of Munnar and the local tea

    industry. Drive past tea plantations

    towards Eravikulam National Park, home to

    the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (the park is

    closed every February - March for the

    calving season). Later visit the Mattupetty

    Dam and Lake where boating is possible

    (on direct payment). Also visit Echo Point, ascenic spot famous for its 'echo

    phenomenon'. Enjoy dinner and an

    overnight stay at hotel.

    Day 4: Munnar - Thekkady

    Drive from Munnar to Thekkady today andcheck into the hotel. In the afternoon,

    proceed for a boat cruise on Periyar Lake

    within the National Park. Thekkady is

    synonymous with wildlife and nature treks.

    Thereafter, visit a local cultural centre to view

    a performance of Kalaripayattu, Kerala's

    traditional martial arts. You may also want to

    visit the market and shop for spices. Enjoy

    dinner and an overnight stay at hotel.

    Day 5: Thekkady - AlleppeyToday drive from Thekkady to Alleppey and

    on arrival board your houseboat in time for

    lunch on board. Spend some time cruisingon the backwaters before anchoring for the

    night. Enjoy dinner and a comfortable

    overnight stay on the houseboat.

    Day 6: DepartureDisembark from the houseboat this morning

    and transfer to Cochin airport for your

    onward journey

    Day 1: Arrival in Cochin

    Arrive in Cochin and transfer toyour hotel. After checking in,

    fishing nets, Dutch Palace and the

    overnight at the hotel.

    Day 2: Cochin - Guruvayoor

    Drive from Cochin to Guruvayoor

    and check into the hotel .

    Guruvayoor is one of the most

    important pilgrimage centres inKerala. It falls under Thrissur

    which is considered the cultural

    heart of Kerala. Afterwards, visit

    the Elephant Sanctuary at

    Punnathur, Kota just outside

    town. Stay overnight at the hotel.

    Day 3: Guruvayoor - Wayanad

    Early morning, visit the Sri

    Krishnaswami Temple for a

    darshan (only Hindus are allowed

    inside). Afterwards drive fromGuruvayoor to Wayanad and

    check into the hotel. Enjoy the rest

    of the day at leisure. Stay

    overnight at the hotel.

    Day 4: Wayanad

    Spend the day sightseeing in and aroundWayanad. One is surrounded by lush green forests

    and sprawling spice plantations. Also visit Pookot

    Lake - a perennial freshwater lake. You can also go

    boating on the lake (on direct payment basis). Also

    visit the Edakkal caves, prehistoric caves with

    etchings and petroglyphs as much as 7000 years

    old. They can only be reached by jeep and after a

    short hike. Stay overnight at the hotel.

    Day 5: Wayanad - CalicutDrive from Wayanad to Calicut today and check

    into the hotel. Afterwards, take a sightseeing tour

    of Calicut visiting Mananchira Square, the woodand laterite Tali Temple, and Kappad beach where

    Vasco da Gama first set foot on Indian soil. Enjoy

    the evening is leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.

    Day 6: DepartureTransfer to the airport or railway station today for

    your onward journey.

    Location Located at the southernmost tip of the country, Kerala stretches along the Arabian Sea. A

    Location - Nestled amidst the mountains and the resplendent forests of the Western Ghats, Munnar does

    not have an airport or railway station of its own. The nearest airport is the Cochin International Airport,

    which is about 110 kilometres away. You can reach Munnar from Cochin in about 4 hours.Best Time To Visit -Munnar remains pleasant almost throughout the year, but the best time to visit would

    be during the summers (March to July) as you could beat the heat of the cities. During the winters, you

    would be well advised to carry heavy woolen clothing as the temperature can be as low as 5 degree Celsius.

    This hill station in God's Own Country is a spectacular stretch of silent mountains

    interspersed with lush green tea plantations and swaying swathe of thick forests.
