Mission Life

• The men farmed and took care of the animals. Then the women cooked, sewed, gardened, and made candles and soap. Also the older people fished and made arrows.

Problems at The Missions

• The Indians were forced to stay. They were not free to leave . In 1775 the Indians burned down the San Diego Mission.

Mission Santa Barbara

• Mission Santa Barbara was built in December 4th 1782. Santa Barbara is the queen mission. The finder of this mission is Fermin Lasuen.
