Goal from 2008-2011 Tech Plan: Technology is integrated into curriculum, instruction, and assessment to improve student achievement: Assure universal access to technology tools for students and staff

100% of classrooms have data projectors and document cameras (2,100 classrooms)

Online Learning

Goal from 2008-2011 Tech Plan: Increase the development and diversification of online course offerings

Health and PE that is done online/hybrid in the HS AVID programs as they are programmed to be done that way.

ALL HS ALC credit recovery uses online courses in a  hybrid model.

Summer school has used a similar model where we have capacity to do so.

Since June of 2009 enrolment is over 10,000 between, online, ALC, and Summer school. (Avid is not tracked)

Online LearningMPS Online Learning is a part of the Minneapolis Public

Schools. We provide a full scope of course offerings which include:

English 9-12, MCA Reading and Writing Test Prep Math: Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and MCA-

Test Prep Science: Environmental Science, Biology, Physical Science,

Physics & Chem Social Studies: Geography, World History, U.S. History, U.S. Govt.

& Econ. World Languages: Spanish I and II Electives: Digital Art, Modern Art, Digital Photography, Radio

Broadcasting & Creative Writing

These classes are available for all students, including full time, part time, home schooled, and credit make up students, students within the Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS), as well as out of district students within Minnesota.

Online Assessment
