Outlook

Outlook is used to access e-mail, calendars, contacts,

tasks, and other mailbox content.

Microsoft Outlook Welcome Screen:E-Mail Folders/File Management

Mail Folders – allow you to create folders to organize your mail (right click on your name to make a new folder.)

Folders appear in list at the top of the Outlook Bar.

Microsoft Outlook: Inbox

Toolbar: create new items or select common commands such as print

The place where you receive e-mail.

Click here to show more buttons.

Menu Bar: Lists/commands available under each menu item changes depending on folder you are working on.

Title Bar: shows folder/feature you are working on.

Click New Message

Type E-Mail address or click To: (which will bring up distribution or contact list)

Add Subject

Add Message

Formatting Bar

Click Send

Browse & choose the file(s) to insert

Schedule an appointment

Go To Calendar, View, Navigation Pane

1) Click Actions, View Group Schedules, Click New

2) Type name of group. Click OK

3)Add group members from address book

Choose area you want shared.

Right click Mail Box and choose sharing

Choose which permissions you would like this person to have.

Under Mail Tool Menu: Rules lets you automatically move messages based on sender or recipient to a specific folder.

Click New Rule

2) Choose check messages when they arrive.

3) Click Next

4) Choose where my name is in the To or CC box.

6) Click Next

5) Click in step 2 (blue wording) people or distribution list.

Mail Format Tab: settings for Stationery and Fonts, Signatures

Spelling Tab:

Delegates Tab: grant someone permission to open folders, read and create items, and respond to requests.

Under Mail, Tool Menu, Options - These settings let you customize your E-Mail.

Microsoft Outlook:Out of Office Assistant

Under the Mail, Tool Menu you can set an automatic response to senders when you are on vacation, or out of the office.

After typing your message, Click OK
