Michael Connelly’s THE FIFTH WITNESSWins 2012 Harper Lee Prize for Legal FictionMichael Connelly’s The Fifth Witness has won the 2012 Harper Lee Prize for Legal Fiction, a literary award co-sponsored by The University of Alabama School of Law and the ABA Journal.
Authorized by Harper Lee, who attended law school at The University of Alabama, the Harper Lee Prize is awarded annually to the published work of fiction that best exemplifies the positive role of lawyers in society and
the ideals represented by Atticus Finch.
Mr. Connelly will be honored at a ceremony and panel discussion hosted by the 2012 Harper Lee Prize Selection Committee on September 20 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. During the program, Mr. Connelly will receive a special edition of To Kill a Mockingbird, signed by Ms. Lee.
