�1 Do not fret because of evildoers,

Nor be envious of theworkers of iniquity.2 For they shall soon be cutdown like the grass,

And wither as the greenherb.

3 Trust in the LORD, and dogood;

Dwell in the land, and feedon His faithfulness.4 Delight yourself also in theLORD,

And He shall give you thedesires of your heart.

�1Não te enfades por causa dos

malfeitores, nem tenhas invejados que praticam a iniqüidade.

�2Pois em breve murcharão

como a relva, e secarão como aerva verde.

�3Confia no Senhor e faze o

bem; assim habitarás na terra, e

te alimentarás em segurança.�

4Deleita-te também noSenhor, e ele te concederá o quedeseja o teu coração.



�5 Commit your way to the LORD,

Trust also in Him,And He shall bring it to pass.

6 He shall bring forth yourrighteousness as the light,

And your justice as thenoonday.

7 Rest in the LORD, and waitpatiently for Him;

Do not fret because of himwho prospers in his way,

Because of the man whobrings wicked schemes to pass.8 Cease from anger, and forsakewrath;

Do not fretit only causesharm.

�5Entrega o teu caminho ao

Senhor; confia nele, e ele tudo fará.�

6E ele fará sobressair a tua justiçacomo a luz, e o teu direito como omeio-dia.

�7Descansa no Senhor, e espera

nele; não te enfades por causadaquele que prospera em seucaminho, por causa do homem que

executa maus desígnios.�

8Deixa a ira, e abandona o furor;não te enfades, pois isso só leva ãprática do mal.



�9 For evildoers shall be cut off;

But those who wait on theLORD,

They shall inherit the earth.10 For yet a little while and thewicked shall be no more;

Indeed, you will lookcarefully for his place,

But it shall be no more.11 But the meek shall inherit theearth,

And shall delightthemselves in the abundance of peace.

�9Porque os malfeitores serão

exterminados, mas aqueles queesperam no Senhor herdarão aterra.

�10Pois ainda um pouco, e o

ímpio não existirá; atentaráspara o seu lugar, e ele ali nãoestará.

�11Mas os mansos herdarão a

terra, e se deleitarão naabundância de paz.



�12 The wicked plots against thejust,

And gnashes at him with histeeth.13 The Lord laughs at him,

For He sees that his day iscoming.14 The wicked have drawn thesword

And have bent their bow,To cast down the poor and

needy,

To slay those who are of upright conduct.15Their sword shall enter their ownheart,

And their bows shall bebroken.

�12O ímpio maquina contra o justo,

e contra ele range os dentes,�

13mas o Senhor se ri do ímpio,pois vê que vem chegando o seudia.

�14

Os ímpios têm puxado daespada e têm entesado o arco, paraderrubarem o poder e necessitado,e para matarem os que são retos noseu caminho.

�15Mas a sua espada lhes entrará

no coração, e os seus arcos

quebrados.



�16 A little that arighteous man has

Is better than the

riches of many wicked.17 For the arms of thewicked shall be broken,

But the LORD

upholds the righteous.

�16Mais vale o pouco que

o justo tem, do que asriquezas de muitos

ímpios.�

17Pois os braços dosímpios serão quebrados,mas o Senhor sustém os

justos.



�18 The LORD knows the days of

the upright,And their inheritance shall

be forever.19 They shall not be ashamed inthe evil time,

And in the days of faminethey shall be satisfied.20 But the wicked shall perish;

And the enemies of theLORD,

Like the splendor of themeadows, shall vanish.Into smoke they shall

vanish away.

�18O Senhor conhece os dias

dos íntegros, e a herança delespermanecerá para sempre.

�19Não serão envergonhados

no dia do mal, e nos dias dafome se fartarão.

�20Mas os ímpios perecerão, e

os inimigos do Senhor serãocomo a beleza das pastagens;desaparecerão, em fumaça sedesfarão.



�21 The wicked borrows and doesnot repay,

But the righteous shows mercyand gives.22 For those blessed by Him shall

inherit the earth,But those cursed by Him shallbe cut off.

23 The steps of a good man areordered by the LORD,

And He delights in his way.24

Though he fall, he shall not beutterly cast down;For the LORD upholds him with

His hand.

�21O ímpio toma emprestado, e

não paga; mas o justo secompadece e dá.

�22Pois aqueles que são

abençoados pelo Senhor herdarão a

terra, mas aqueles que são por eleamaldiçoados serão exterminados.

�23Confirmados pelo Senhor são os

passos do homem em cujo caminhoele se deleita;

�24

ainda que caia, não ficaráprostrado, pois o Senhor lhe seguraa mão.



�25 I have been young, andnow am old;

Yet I have not seen

the righteous forsaken,Nor his descendantsbegging bread.26 He is ever merciful,and lends;

And his descendantsare blessed.

�25Fui moço, e agora sou

velho; mas nunca videsamparado o justo,

nem a sua descendênciaa mendigar o pão.�

26Ele é sempregeneroso, e empresta, ea sua descendência éabençoada.



�27 Depart from evil, and dogood;

And dwell forevermore.28 For the LORD loves justice,

And does not forsake Hissaints;They are preserved

forever,But the descendants of

the wicked shall be cut off.

29

The righteous shall inheritthe land,And dwell in it forever.

�27Aparta-te do mal e faze o

bem; e terás moradapermanente.

�28Pois o Senhor ama a

justiça e não desampara osseus santos. Eles serãopreservados para sempre,mas a descendência dosímpios será exterminada.

�29Os justos herdarão a terra

e nela habitarão para sempre.



�30 The mouth of the righteousspeaks wisdom,

And his tongue talks of justice.31 The law of his God is in his

heart;None of his steps shall slide.

32 The wicked watches therighteous,

And seeks to slay him.

33 The LORD will not leave himin his hand,Nor condemn him when he

is judged.

�30A boca do justo profere

sabedoria; a sua língua fala oque é reto.

�31A lei do seu Deus está em

seu coração; não resvalarão os

seus passos.

�32O ímpio espreita o justo, e

procura matá-lo.�

33O Senhor não o deixará nas

mãos dele, nem o condenaráquando for julgado.



�34 Wait on the LORD,

And keep His way,And He shall exalt you to

inherit the land;When the wicked are cut

off, you shall see it.35 I have seen the wicked ingreat power,

And spreading himself like anative green tree.36 Yet he passed away, and

behold, he was no more;Indeed I sought him, but hecould not be found.

�34Espera no Senhor, e segue o

seu caminho, e ele te exaltarápara herdares a terra; tu o verásquando os ímpios foremexterminados.

� 35Vi um ímpio cheio deprepotência, e a espalhar-secomo a árvore verde na terranatal.

�36Mas eu passei, e ele já não

era; procurei-o, mas não pôde

ser encontrado.



�37 Mark the blamelessman, and observe theupright;

For the future of that man is peace.38 But the transgressorsshall be destroyedtogether;

The future of thewicked shall be cut off.

�37Nota o homem

íntegro, e considera oreto, porque há para o

homem de paz um porvirfeliz.�

38Quanto aostransgressores, serão ãuma destruídos, e aposteridade dos ímpiosserá exterminada.



�39 But the salvation of therighteous is from theLORD;

He is their strength in

the time of trouble.40 And the LORD shall helpthem and deliver them;

He shall deliver themfrom the wicked,

And save them,Because they trust inHim.

�39Mas a salvação dos

justos vem do Senhor; ele éa sua fortaleza no tempoda angústia.

� 40E o Senhor os ajuda eos livra; ele os livra dosímpios e os salva,porquanto nele serefugiam.



� Trust in the Lord� Delight in the Lord� Commit your way to

the Lord� Rest in the lord and

wait patiently for Him� Refrain from anger and

turn from wrath� Depart from evil and

do good� Wait on the Lord and

keep His way

� Confia no Senhor� Deleite-se no Senhor� Entregue o seu caminho

ao Senhor� Descanse no Senhor, eaguarde por Ele compaciência

� Evite a ira, e abandona ofuror

� Aparta-te do mal e faça obem

� Espera no Senhor, e siga asua vontade
