Successful growth through acquisitions requires a well-defi ned corporate strategy and a high level of analytical and strategic expertise to plan and exe-cute individual transactions. In this program, you will learn how to enhance and implement your own company‘s growth strategy through acquisitions and systematic acquisition programs.
Based on the corporate strategy, you derive the portfolio analysis to increa-se competition and diversifi cation. You conduct strategic synergy analyses and create a selection of takeover candidates that optimally complement their corporate portfolio. You clarify the acquisition motives and the success factors and create systematic acquisition programs. With this skill, you are able to occupy attractive strategic business segments through acquisitions of business units or competitors.

Prof. Dr. Winfried RuigrokSince 2011, Winfried Ruigrok Dean is the executive School of Management, Technology & Law at the Uni-versity of St. Gallen. Since 1996 he has been Professor of International Management and Director of the Research Center for International Management (FIM-HSG). His research interests include strategy, internationalization of management and boards of directors, and corporate governance.

Costs
You will receive an offi cial HSG certifi cate documenting your participation in the short pro-gram. Additionally, you will be credited with 2 ECTS points for the seminar.
Cancellation up to 90 days before start of the seminar is free; for can-cellation between 89 and 60 days 10%, and between 59 and 30 days before the seminar 50% of costs is due. The total cost is due if cancel-led less than 30 days before the start of the seminar. We will be happy to accept a replacement attendee.
You can register at any time at our website www.ifb.unisg.ch.We will be happy to advise you by phone or email. The number of participants is limited.
The fee for the short program is CHF 3‘900.-, including course materials, catering during breaks, lunch, and one evening program.Costs for travel and overnight accommodation as well as the evening meal are to be covered by the participant.
