We have been informed that the vend er provid ing the ignition lock tumblers for model 107 and 116 models will no longer be able to supply part number A 1164600604. The A 1164600604 defined ignition lock tumbler was custom-built for the vehic le that it was ordered for, and was matched to the existing key code that the vehicle used, with the existing key working in the doors and deck lid locks, as well as the ignition.

Fortunately, an alternative is available. Orders for A 1164600604 Ignition Lock Tumbler will be replaced in Paragon with part number A 11 64620279. Th is replacement Ignition Lock Tumbler is an undefined lock, and will come with it 's own key that will operate only the ignition lock, it will not work for the existing door and trunk locks.

Please advise your customers about this situation, so that they are aware that their existing key(s) wi ll no longer work in the ignition/steering lock if it has been replaced with A 1164620279.

Becker MAP Pl LOT Theft Issues

Please be advised that several Becker® MAP PILOT units in original packaging are currently being sold through online retailers such as eBay (USA and Europe) and Amazon (to date on ly in Europe). A vast maj ority of t hese units are designed for the European market only and furtherm ore have been identified by German prosecution authorities to be obtained illegally. Those units are now being resold to customers and dealers without permission by Daimler AG. We strongly encourage you to NOT purchase these units as the warranty is void and t hey will not work in the US.

Please note the US specific part number for the unit is A 166 900 9608 and only this part will work in Audio20 vehicles equipped with pre-wiring (option code 508). Any Becker® MAP PI LOT purchased through the aforementioned outlets may not be compatible with US specific vehicles and cannot be returned to MBUSA Parts Distribution Centers.
