About BatrounA coastal Lebanese city, located 50 km north of the capital Bei-rut, and 29 km south of Tripoli, Batroun is the official center of its caza with a population of around 20,000. Due to its dis-tinguished location between the Mediterranean shore and the eastern Mountains, many inves-tors were encouraged to estab-lish beach resorts, restaurants and hotels, along the beach and on top of the neighboring hills

Visa Procedures:In collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the General Se-curity Forces, the CC team are working hard to ensure receiving a free visa upon arrival to Lebanon. You are should have all the following documents with you. In case of failure of providing the above mentioned documents you might be denied from obtaining an entry visa to Lebanon:A valid passport with at least 6 months validity remainingOne visa application form, completely filled out and signed2-passport type photographsPhotocopies of the passport pages containing the full name, photo, passport number, issue date, and expiry date (one copy of each page)The invitation letter from the CC Team containing address of stay.A round trip non-refundable ticket

Restricted Entry: The Government of Lebanon refuses entry to holders of Israeli passports, holders of passports containing a visa for Israel, valid or expired, used or unused and passports with entry stamps to Israel.

In case of problem, the CC team will inform each delegate on individual case if their visa may not be granted upon arrival.

To remain on the safe side and irrespective of your national-ity, we highly recommend you check with your local Lebanese Consulate or Embassy at least one month prior to boarding the plane.

The citizens of the following countries are guaranteed receiving a free one month valid visa for tourism purposes upon arrival to Beirut International Airport:

G.C.C. and citizens of Jordan:The Gulf Cooperation Council Countries (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and United Arab of Emirates) and the citizens of Jordan country who are holding Jordanian passports showing their national number.

Fee PoliciesThe conference fee is $330 + $30 damage fee(€250 + €25 in Damage fees calculated on a rate of 1€ = 1.311$)In the event the delegate registers after March 5, 2013, a late registration fee will be incurred of the amount $370+ $30 damage fee (€280 + €25 in Damage fees calculated on a rate of 1€ = 1.311$)Payment should be made in US Dollars.

The fees includes:• Stay and accommodation from March 23 until March 29, 2013• Meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Coffee breaks)• Airport Pickups and Transportations• Logisitical costs• Participation fees for the conference

The fees do not include:• Flight tickets• Personal Expenses• Merchandise fees

Cancellation Policy:If you register but for some reason want to cancel your participation please note the following condi-tions:A cancellation fee of USD 225 (170 Euros) is applicable on Del-egates whose applications have been confirmed by AI and the Delegate does not inform the CC team of his cancellation before March 5, 2013, (After March 5, the cancellation penalty be-comes USD330) on the following email: [email protected]

These fees are charged upon the Delegate, in the case the Delegate does not meet the payment, the fees shall be billed to the respective entity’s invoice.The penalties however will not be applicable if:• The delegation replaces the delegate with another del-egate from the same country and AI approves the replace-ment delegate before March 5, 2013.• AI approves a delegate from another country as a re-placement before March 5, 2013

Security and Travel Risk - Despite constant threats from external factors, Leb-anon is considered a safe place to live in and to visit.- The CC team are cooperating with the General security forces and different ministries to insure the safety of the delegates during the stay in Lebanon- The CC team is in contact with the embassies in order to take any action if any unfortunate event oc-curs during the stay in Lebanon- Batroun, the city where the Conference will be held, as well all regions included in the events and study tour are considered very safe, and are among the most visited touristic attractions in Lebanon- If any unfortunate incident occurs in Lebanon prior or during MENAXLDS 2013, The CC team will in-form all approved delegates about any procedures that will be taken in regards to MENAXLDS2013
