    ITMS 8th Grader, Shelby Anton serves as Palm Coast’s “Mayor for the Day”

    Indian Trails Middle School eighth-grader Shelby Anton served as

    honorary "Mayor for the Day" at the Palm Coast City Council

    meeting on Oct. 7. Shelby joined Palm Coast Mayor Jon Netts at the

    dais and assisted with several "mayoral" duties at the meeting -

    including awarding certificates to the graduates of the 32nd Palm

    Coast Citizens Academy! Shelby received the honor after winning a

    statewide "If I Were Elected Mayor" essay contest sponsored by the

    Florida League of Cities and the Florida League of Mayors. She has

    also toured City Offices this fall and plans to participate in other City

    functions this year.

  • Floating Wetlands Update:

    Floating wetlands were planted and installed in August, at one of the City’s water treatment

    plants. Below are a comparison of when the wetlands were installed and what they look like

    now, 2 months later.

    Pink Army 5k Run/Walk for Breast Cancer

    On Sunday, October 12 the City of Palm Coast in partnership with Florida Hospital

    Flagler hosted the annual Breast Cancer Pink Army 5k Run/Walk. Over 900

    runners, walkers & supporters ran or walked in honor of those who have battled and

    continue their battle against breast cancer. Proceeds from the Pink Army Run/Walk

    will be presented to the Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation later this year.

    2014 PDA Fall Classic Soccer Tournament

    Held on Friday, October 10 through Sunday, October 12 at the Indian Trails

    Sports Complex, PDA Florida host 140 soccer teams from across the state

    of Florida for this annual event. It is estimated that this event contributed over

    $775,000 to our local economy with over 9,000 visitors in our community.
