Mediasite Introductory Guide Starting the Summer 2016 session, a new lecture capture tool, Mediasite, will be used to record lectures. This software has new features that did not exist in the previous platform (Echo360), a different look and feel, and various choices which can be made concerning the playback or downloads. For minimum technical requirements to ensure quality content playback please consult with the following documentation for desktop platforms and mobile platforms. Here is an example of what the Mediasite recording looks like: For more details or any questions please contact the IT Service Center via phone 3037354357 (5HELP from a campus phone) or email [email protected] Desire2Learn(D2L) Integration Access to the recorded course lectures is through Desire2Learn (D2L). See instructions below. Recordings are available the first day of classes until the last day of final exams for the semester. Main campus lectures are recorded live and made available to students to view through streaming and download after recording (with the exception of a few courses). We strive to have both streaming and downloadable content made available within four hours of the end of the class, however, the actual time may vary based on the number of recordings and OIT resources.
