Position addresses applications of the latest geospatial technologies including satellite and aerial remote sensing, land and hydrographic surveying, satellite positioning systems, photogrammetry, GIS and the growing fields of UAVs, mobile mapping, and augmented reality.

CIRCULATIONPublished six times a year in February, April, June, August, October and December, it is a premium quality publication with a distribution of 4500-5000 copies per edition.

Position magazine is read in all levels of government and academia, as well as by spatial technology product and service vendors.

Position magazine is the official journal of the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute (SSSI) and is circulated to its entire membership. All members of the Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) Australia also receive a copy of Position magazine as a benefit of membership.

Position magazine also publishes a comprehensive Annual Industry Directory of companies and organisations servicing and supplying the surveying, mapping and geospatial industry in Australia and New Zealand in every December/January edition. Companies providing products and services to the geospatial industry are invited to enter a free listing in the directory.
