Enclosed with this memo please find a summary of the results of the annual media center evaluation along with a copy ofthe completed evaluation from. The evaluation form used was the GA DOE 2009 Library Media Program Evaluation

Rubric. This was done in collaboration with Angela Gnann, media specialist at Effingham County High School. In addition

to performing the evaluation, my task was to discuss ways to improve the media center operation by providing actions steps

to move the media center from the basic level to the proficient level in any category identified as basic. My task also

includes actions steps to move the media center from one category identified as proficient to the exemplary level. Based

upon the requirements of this task and the findings from the evaluation form, I have provided action steps to move the

media center from the basic level to the proficient level in category 1.6. This category states student achievement isroutinely assessed. I have also provided action steps to move the media center from the proficient level to the exemplary

level in category 1.2. This category states the library media specialist encourages collaborative planning among teacherswho are teaching units of similar content.
