A. Download the MDaemon installer file from www.altn.com. Select Product Language and click “GO” button. [Figure 1-1] B. Double-click the MDaemon installer on the Windows desktop to begin the installation. Then click “Next” on the Welcome screen. C. Select your country and check the box to indicate that you have read the license agreement, then click “Next.” D. Select a destination directory for the installer to copy files to, then click “Next.” E. Check the box if you would like to install the BlackBerry Enterprise Server components, then click “Next.” F. Select your preferred installation type: 1. Select the first option to install a fully functional 30 day trial of the PRO version of MDaemon. 2. Choose the middle option to install a FREE, but feature limited, 5 mailbox version of MDaemon. 3. Select the final option if you have already purchased a license key for MDaemon. G. On the following three “Customer Information” screens, enter your country, address, and other requested information. If installing a 30-day trial, then be sure to enter a valid email address. Your trial key will be sent to this address, and must be entered before proceeding to the next step. Click “Next” to continue. H. On the “Ready to Install” screen, click “Next” to continue with the installation process. The MDaemon files and integrated BlackBerry Enterprise Server components (if this option was selected on the BlackBerry Synchronization screen) will be copied to the destination directory. A. Download the MDaemon installer file from www.altn.com. Select Product Language and click “GO” button. [Figure 1-1]

B. Double-click the MDaemon installer on the Windows desktop to begin the installation. Then click “Next” on the Welcome screen.

C. Select your country and check the box to indicate that you have read the license agreement, then click “Next.”

D. Select a destination directory for the installer to copy files to, then click “Next.”

E. Check the box if you would like to install the BlackBerry Enterprise Server components, then click “Next.”

F. Select your preferred installation type:

Step 1 — Install MDaemon

Leaving the registration key blank creates a 30-day trial key.

Step 2 — Your Domain Name

Enter the domain name used in your email address (e.g. example.com), and your IMAP/POP host name (e.g. mail.example.com). [Figure 1-2]

Step 3 — Set Up Your First Account

Enter the full name, mailbox, and password for your first account. Leave the box below checked to give this account full administrative access to MDaemon. [Figure 1-3]

Congratulations. Your installation is complete and you are ready to start using MDaemon Messaging Server, BlackBerry Edition. [Figure 2-4]

Step 5 — Finish Install

Leave the box checked to start MDaemon. If you wish to view the release notes, check “View the release notes file.” Click “Finish” to launch MDaemon. If no registration key was entered during installation, a fully-functional 30-day trial of MDaemon will run. [Figure 2-2]

Step 6 — Product Activation

When MDaemon starts for the first time, the Product Activation Wizard will automatically begin. Click “Next” to proceed.

Step 8 — Complete Activation

Click “Finish” to complete the activation process.

Step 7 — Activation Method

Select “I want to activate automatically over the Internet,” and then click on “Next” to continue. [Figure 2-3]

Step 4 — System Service Setup

Leave the box checked to install the MDaemon system service. With the service installed, MDaemon will automatically start when you start the computer. Click “Next” to continue. [Figure 2-1]
