Important Rules for candidates to fill the application form

1. The Fee of the MBA-MCA July 2014 Entrance Test is Rs 500/= ( Rs. Five Hundred

Only) which has to be deposited through Bank Demand Draft from any Nationalized

Bank in favour of, The Finance Officer, U P R T O U, payable at Allahabad and to be

enclosed with MBA-MCA Entrance Test 2014 application form.

2. The candidates after qualifying the MBA-MCA Entrance Test 2014, will have to fill an

admission form available at the respective study centers to take admission to MBA

program and they have to deposit the Program Fee of Rs 15000/- (Rs. Fifteen Thousand

only) for MBA and Rs. 13700/- (Rs Thirteen Thousand Seven Hundred only) for MCA

along with this application form through a demand draft in favour of Finance Officer,

U P Rajarshi Tandon Open University, payable at Allahabad, for the first year and

later on every year as per program duration.

3. The last date for submitting the completed application form is 20 August 2014. The

complete application form must be reached to the following address through the

registered mail/ Speed Post.

4. In the Exam Center box at point no. 1 you have to write name of the city. For Example;

5. The exam shall be conducted at following cities.

6. Write married or unmarried according to your Martial status at point no. 5.

7. At point no.7 you have to write in figures the no. of years of experience you have

acquired. Please conditions of eligibility given at point no. 2 of the Rules to Admission

for MBA Program.

8. Write the name of the degree of UG and PG Level and the percentage at point no. 13 of

the admission form. For Example:-B.Sc.(Honours), 70%

9. Write your complete and correct address for Correspondence as well as Permanent

Address on point no 14 and 18.

10. The candidates have to enclose the experience certificate along with this application form

as per rule no 2 of the Rules to Admission for MBA Program.

11. Attach photocopies of all the certificates and mark sheets showing the qualification,

Experience (as the case may be) and date of birth of the candidate.

12. The candidates have to take the admit card portion from the given downloaded form only

and have to produce with completely filled entries and a self signed recent photograph at

the exam center. No separate Admit Card shall be issued to any Candidates. The

Candidates can note down their Roll Numbers from the website:

www.uprtou.ac.in.Candidates have to bring two passport size photographs at the

study centers for the use of their verification.

13. The verification card has to be sent by the candidate along with the Form to the

The candidates who have appeared in the entrance tests for the similar

programs (MBA/MCA) conducted by IGNOU/ AIMA / IIMs / UPTU etc.

within a year need not to appear in MBA MCA Entrance Test of UPRTOU

Allahabad, provided they have secured 40% marks in such examination.

1. The candidates belonging to this category may take admission up to 15 September

2014 with the fulfillment of the given conditions.

2. Such candidates will have to fill the Form with Admission Fee of Rs. 300/- Only ( Rs.

Three Hundred Only) through a demand draft favouring, Finance Officer, U P

Rajarshi Tandon Open University payable at Allahabad. This Form is required to

be sent to, Director, School of Management Studies, UPRTOU, Sector ‘F’

Shantipuram, Phaphamau, Allahabad 211013.

3. Attach photocopies of all the certificates and mark sheets showing the qualifications,

Experience (as the case may be) and date of birth of the candidate along with the Form.

These candidates after submitting the Form along with their respective scores (Minimum

40%) obtained from other Tests conducted by IGNOU /IIMs /AIMA / UPTU etc shall be

informed by the university to take admission at their preferred study center provided they

possess the eligibility conditions given as under. Their scores (Minimum 40%) shall be

valid within a year of the present session.

i. Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks for the general category candidates

and 45% marks for the reserve category candidates i.e.SC/ST class candidates (as

declared by the State Govt. from time to time)

Or

Bachelor degree with 3 years of Supervisory/ Managerial/ Professional/ Working

Experience.

ii. Clearance of Entrance Test conducted by U P Rajarshi Tandon Open University,

Allahabad (Clearance means securing 40% marks in MAT-RTOU)

4. These candidates shall have to again fill an admission form given by the study center,

cost Rs 50/- only (Rs Fifty Only) and Program Fee of Rs 15000/- (Rs. Fifteen

2. Other Important Conditions for Completing MBA Program:

A. The students have to complete a total of 24 papers including a project report of 12

credits thus a total of 138 credits.

B. The duration of the MBA program is Min. 2 years and Max. 4 years.

C. The entire program has been divided in to six semesters, till 2nd

semester and in

the 4th

semester all papers are compulsory where as in the 3rd

semester a student

has to take any set of 4 elective papers together with two compulsory papers as

mentioned in the table from MBA 3.11 to MBA 3.44.

D. Project Report: In the 4th

semester a student has to undertake a project on any

corporate/ industrial issue with following important considerations-

D 1. The project supervisor can be any MBA or equivalent qualified person from

the industry or academia with minimum 3 years of experience in the respective

field.

D 2. The project report must contain following contents.

i. Research Problem (Clearly Defined Statement)

ii. Objective of the Study

iii. Research Methodology

iv. Introduction about the research problem

v. Questionnaire

vi. Analysis of the Questions with pie charts etc.

vii. Findings & Conclusion

D 3. The project report must contain a covering page mentioning the title of the

study, university name & logo, Name and enrollment of the student, name of the

supervisor etc.

D 4. The project report must contain a resume of the supervisor signed by

him/her.

D 5. The project shall be evaluated in two parts i.e. out of 30% marks evaluation

shall be done by the project guide/ supervisor and out of 70% marks the evaluation

shall be done by the university exam. Cell.

E. The evaluation of every paper shall be in two parts that is 30% internal through

assignments and 70% external through terminal exams.

F. The candidate shall be awarded First Division on securing 60% marks or more,

Second division on Securing 50% marks or more and failed on securing less than

50 % marks.

G. There shall be counseling sessions for each paper in each semester as notified by

the study centers.
