Sheep’s ClothingSummer Kids’ Activities • Summer 2013

Make and Take Sessions •Taught by: Kris SperlingKris is back again this year with more exciting Make and Take options. Make and Take session are perfect for children aged 6 and up. Children will be taught to make a project during the session. No previous skills are needed.

1 - 2 pm • $10 per session

Wednesday, June 12: Father’s Day GiftCome make a pen holder or desk organizer just for dad. Using colorful yarn, you will create a one of a kind present.

Wednesday, June 19: Flip FlopsBring a pair of plain flip flops and make them fabulous! Kris will teach you to crochet beautiful yarn embellishments and make a one of a kind pair just for you!

Wednesday, June 26: Finger Knitting or I-Cord LoomsEnjoy learning some basic knitting skills that will help you when you are ready for using needles. Using either your own fingers, or a small homemade loom you will be knitting quickly and have a new skill to show off to your family and friends.

Wednesday, July 3: Needle or Wet FeltingTake a small amount of wool and sculpt it into flowers, hearts, butterflies, animals, or anything else your imagination can come up with! Older children will needle felt, wet felting is available for those who may not have as much hand-eye coordination or are concerned about working with sharp needles

Wednesday, July 10: Bracelets and BeardsCreate your own beautiful bracelets, or your own disguise beard. Add to your own style, or become someone else altogether.

Wednesday, July 24: Fork FlowersHave you ever used a fork to make a flower? Now is your chance. Using the fork as your base, make beautiful yarn flowers to add to your other projects, or give away.

Wednesday, August 7: God’s Eye Memory KeeperThese crafts are made using two sticks and basic weaving techniques. This would make a great gift from your child to a special family member with a picture of themselves tucked in it.

Wednesday, August 14: Bookmarks and PensCreate your own bookmarks to keep your place in your favorite book or decorate pens so everyone will know which one is yours.
