What is Abacus? 

Abacus is a wonderful tool for mental Arithmetic training that enables a child to do calculations without the aid of any instruments.

3 years old: The brain has expected 60% growth, therefore a child has the strongest absorbing power.

3 to 6 years old: The brain has grown a further 20%. The learning and absorbing power is not as strong as in a 3-year old. However, the child will obtain astonishing results if he is provided with more foundations.

6 to 8 years old: The brain has grown a further 10%, the child must put in tremendous effort if he starts learning at this age.

After 8 years: If a child starts learning at this age, it is rather difficult for the child achieve good results, He has to work harder with more disciplined.

Does abacus training conflicts with the school’s method of teaching math?

In case your child starts the abacus learning program prior to learning the traditional program, then there is no conflict whatsoever. And if the child uses the program after receiving traditional methods, the learning period may be slightly extended, but he can easily use both the methods for calculation.

We have computers/calculators everywhere, why use an Abacus ?

What is the purpose of learning the Abacus?

It provides an opportunity for young kids to advance their intelligence quality at early ages (3-15 years) by learning the mental arithmetic skill through the Abacus techniques. Also prepare the youngsters for better learning on academic mathematics.

Does my kid require an Abacus to calculate?

No, an Abacus is not required. The concept of the Abacus is used; however, as described above, only an image of the abacus is required.

How long does it take to learn?

 It consists of 12 levels. The 12th level is the novice level, and the 1 is the most advanced. The training takes 2 years to complete. Normally, dramatic improvement in math capability is evident in the 1st year.

How will it help in other subjects/school works?

It encourages the child to give full attention to study by listening more attentively and effectively thus making him more confident and interested in school works (both curricular and extracurricular). His/her creativity and ability to analyze problems will be improved.

When should my child begin?

 Children between the age of 5-10 are an ideal age to begin. But  we  have a record maker from Taiwan who started at the age of three and won the National competition at the age of five. Thus a programme uniquely designed for age 3 -6 has been designed by our International faculty and has been introduced first time in India. There is no age bar we also have a 50 year old student. We will gladly provide a free analysis of your child readiness.

When to START

It is advisable to start with the Abacus Training prior to starting with the conventional arithmetic in school. Even for brilliant students, Abacus gives a feasible way to come out of rigors of mental calculations and set site on the other advanced concepts.
