YEAR 2 NEWS

This week we were very busy getting ready for our

assembly which will be held on Friday 29/11/19. We hope

you can join us!

Our grass heads went home this week, some looking

slightly crazy with the addition of their crazy eyes! We

were all amazed to see how fast the grass heads grew

and discovered it is a tricky thing to measure.

The children had a colourtastic time participating in the

Colour Run. Well done to our wonderful P&F for running

this event and everyone who supported the children. A

great MG effort!!

The Pre Primary children performed like super-stars at

our class assembly last Friday! Well done Pre Primary!

Yesterday the children were so excited to take part in our

school’s ‘Colour Explosion Fun Run’ and they had a

wonderful time! Thank you to all our parents for

supporting this fund-raising event and especially to the ‘P

and F ‘ for organising such a fantastic day! Tomorrow, we

will be joining the Year 2 class and taking part in activities

involving ‘games from the past!’ Meanwhile, in class, we

have started to talk about the importance of Christmas

and how we celebrate it in our homes. Have a great

ST VINCENT DE PAUL CHRISTMAS HAMPER

Our Mini Vinnies have been collecting all the donations

that we have received for our St Vincent de Paul

Christmas hamper collection. We are very grateful for the

generous support of so many of our families towards this

initiative. The items donated will be going towards

hampers for families in our parish who are experiencing

hardship. Christmas can be an especially difficult time for

people in this situation and our aim is to help brighten up

their lives at this time of year. St Vincent de Paul will be

collecting our donations next week, so if you would still

like to send in some food items, please do so as soon as

possible.

Have a great week.

Our end of year concert will take place on Friday 6th

December. The concert will begin at 6:00pm and held in

the undercover area. Families are invited to enjoy their

evening meal here on the school grounds. The gates will

open at 4:45pm. The P&F are organising a meal option

and this will be sent home for you to consider. As usual,

we will require help to put up the stage. If you are

available after school on Monday 2nd December, we

would appreciate your assistance.

Enjoy the week ahead.

YEAR 4 NEWS

What a week!

On Monday the Year 4 children went on excursion to

Perth Zoo. A huge thank you to all the children who were

so beautifully behaved. It was such a pleasure to take

them to the zoo and I know they thoroughly enjoyed

seeing so many of the animals. They have all completed

a fantastic animal report on their chosen zoo animal. I

would also like to take the time to thank the parent

helpers. Your help is truly appreciated.

Yesterday the children participated in the School ‘Run 4

Fun Colour Explosion’ and they had a ball, as did the

staff and parents. A great day in which we ALL enjoyed.

Thank you to the organisers.

YEAR 6 NEWS

It has been a busy week in the Year 6 classroom! On

Wednesday we had our visit from Loving for Life that

spoke to the girls about boys separately about how life

begins, family, adolescence, puberty, friendships, media

and married love. On the same day, we also had the P&F

Colour run, which was an absolute blast!

Our end of year assembly is coming up soon. Can all

students please bring in their clothes to wear next week

so that we can start making the final touches. Hopefully

all students have been learning their lines.

Next week a note will go home about our end of year

excursion. Can all permission slips please be returned as

soon as possible.
