Présentation

Né en 1990, j’ai actuellement 23 ans et je vis sur la commune de Lausanne.

Je termine actuellement mon 6ème et dernier semestre de Bachelor en architecture à l’EPFL. Avec cette première base théorique dans l’architecture je suis maintenant à la recherche de plus d’expérience dans le domaine pratique de la profession. Si j’ai choisi d’étudier l’architecture c’est tout d’abord par curiosité pour une profession qui se trouve au croisement entre art et tech-nique, mais c’est aussi par intérêt pour la question de l’équilibre à adopter entre le confort de notre environnement bâti est les exigences de durabilités auxquelles nous faisons face.

La rapidité est un domaine dans lequel je ne cesse d’apprendre et un travail en entreprise sera la meilleure occasion pour m’améliorer. En revanche, le souci de la précision et de la qualité du détail sont des qualités que je me réjouis de mettre au service de votre entreprise.

Du sein de cette société la ville se crée d’après les discussions, les négociations, l’entraide et les compromis entre ses membres. L’approche de l’atelier « La Ville Entière » est de recréer ce processus d’échange entre l’individu et les membre du groupe. Nous avons travaillé en groupe de 15 étudiants. Chaque étudiant développait son projet dans une cellule d’une structure imaginaire appelée ‘‘matrice” avec l’intérêt de faire correspondre son projet à celui de son voisin et à l’ensemble de cette ‘‘ville abstraite”.

J’ai choisi de développer le programme de l’Entrée de la Ville abstraite: l’entrée pour les gens mais aussi pour les marchandises. Les programmes développés dans cette ville étant très hétéroclites, j’ai choisi de condenser cette diversité sans chercher une unité mais plutôt en élaborant les échanges entres les différents types de circulations. Plutôt que d’être un élément auto-nome l’entrée doit être un lien entre les différentes activités de la ville.

Le Parco Ciani se trouve très proche du centre du la ville de Lugano (Tessin, Suisse). Ce parc concentre une bonne part des activités récréatives des citadins. L’installation de plusieurs pavillon thématique permettrait d’accroître encore la densité des activités disponibles dans le parc.

Pédagogiquement ce projet m’a permis de concevoir la fonc-tionnalité et la construction d’un espace simple d’après une inten-tion d’ambiance établie au préalable.

Le Pavillon des fleurs du Parco Ciani présente de l’extérieurun aspect introverti et mystérieux qui attise la curiosité despassants. Dans le pavillon les fleurs sont un trésor. Situées au centredu pavillon dans une enceinte minérale, les fleurs exprimentleur fragilité et leur préciosité par le contraste qu’ellesoffrent avec le béton. En même temps que d’être un trésor, les fleurs, en particuliercelles placées dans la première enceinte en bois, attirent lesvisiteurs de l’extérieur et les guident dans le pavillon. La première enceinte qui abrite notamment les services (caisses et atelier, un espace de stockage ainsi que des toilettes publiques accessible depuis l’extérieur), présente un aspect plus éphémère en opposition avec la coupole centrale en béton blanc destinée à abriter les fleurs durablement.

La ville de Lugano est à l’origine une agglomération deplusieurs communes. Si cette agglomération est aujourd’hui un tissus urbain continu, il persiste en bordure des anciennes délimitation des parcelles qui ne se sont pas adapté à leur environnement urbain. La parcelle du quartier de Viganello en est une. Ce projet se concentre sur l’insertion urbaine du bâti, sur l’optimisation des espaces intérieurs et sur la création d’une struc-ture modulaire Dans l’agglomération de Lugano, ce nouvel îlot urbain structure de manière forte le développement de cette ancienne zone périphérique. Le bâti s’organise autour d’un parc qui demeure relativementisolé des nuisance sonores de la ville.Les rez de chaussée, en plus d’être un filtre, est aussi le lieu d’implantation d’espace de commerces et autres espaces publicsou semi-publics. Du côté commerçant du rez-de-chaussée une arcade de deux étages de haut abrite les passant de la météo. Aux étages la structures de poteau-dalles qui instaure une tramede 5.40 X 5.40 m permet l’aménagement à la fois de bureaux et de logements étudiants.

connection through densification Södertälje is a small industrial city 30 Km south of Stockholm. The industrial area of the Astra Zeneca factory is an economical advantage for the city of Södertälje. Despite the fact that this area is close to the city centre, it doesn’t really generate a dynamic around itself. The factory is currently reducing its activity in the area and the municipality is thinking about reusing some of the buildings to set up a new campus for the university. This is a good opportunity to create a better link to the city centre by adding a tramline and improving the bicycle lane. Furthermore, the density of the area can be improved by repurposing some of the existing parking lots.The proposition is to extend the city centre by adding student housing close to the future university and to concentrate all the parking in the northwest part of the area.

parking as a center of transportation and activities The purpose of the new parking lot is to create a new peripheral center that would host different functions (i.e. grocery stores, res-taurants, car rental, rooftop sport court). The existing cardealership on the site will also be hosted in the new structure. Those differents functions will be accessible for people communting to work who pass by the parking and by the people who live next to the parking lot.

The neighborhood of Fittja is well situated in the suburban area of Stockholm. There is a good connection with the city centre and fast access to the green areas in the neighborhood. Fittja is a typical neighborhood of the «Miljon Programet» from the 1970s. Within the whole neighborhood it is possible to find many types of housing, but at a smaller scale this kind of diversity is absent and all the apartments seem to be extremely similar. Furthermore, the difference between the public space (huge and sometimes impersonal) and the private space (small entry, no contact with the neighbors) is too extreme and there is no transition between those two kind of spaces, especially in the highrise buildings that we are focusing on.

Expansion from the inside My proposition is to create new semi-public spaces in the core of the building that can have different functions for all the inhabitants. In order to keep the same dwelling area and accommodate the new semi-public core, the apartments are pushed toward the ouside of the building.

The main themes of this project were the housing economy, the reuse of a structural system from the 70s, and the social interactions within a multicultural community.

The drawing made by Lebbeus Woods shows this process of trans-formation that can be called «parasitism», since an organism takes advantage of another one and disrupts its regular functions.
