Maternity Session

Available with a booked newborn session

-Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 32-37 weeks, however, it all depends on how pregnant you would like to be for your session. -To show the belly or not? This is a personal preference and we can works with either option. Some mama’s are not comfortable showing their belly and that is perfectly okay! Want to bare that bump? Great! Don’t worry about any skin issues, I will make your bump beautiful.

-Whattowear?Feelfreetobringalongseveraloutfitchanges for you. If you can get daddy to change, more power to you! I recommend a mix of casual and dressy. Below are some ideas toconsiderforyouroutfitchoices...

-Think Bold! Large stripes and bright colors -Go Romantic...soft colors, layers, and vintage -Layer it up! Tall boats over skinny jeans or a belted cardigan over a printed blouse, or both! -Accessories: chunky jewelry, cute shoes, adorable headband

About

-Newborn sessions capture your new baby at their teeny-tiniest. Babies grow up so fast and it is a privilege to capture your little one at such a special time!

-Newborn sessions are strongly recommend to take place withinthefirsttwoweeksafteryourlittleonearrives.Babies14 days and younger will sleep deeper and longer and curl up better.

-It is best to schedule your newborn session before your baby arrives.Wewillblockoutatimeframeforabout1weekpast your due date. We will keep in touch and move your appointment according to when your little one makes their debut. Having the appointment scheduled ahead of time, even if we have to move it, serves as a reminder to keep some time open around your due date so we can accommodate yoursessionwithinthefirsttwoweeksafteryourbabyarrives.

What to expect

-Thenewbornsessioncantakebetween2-4hours.Mostof our time is spent getting your little one into a deep sleep and breaks for feeding. I do provide light refreshments, but recommend you eat before you arrive...or feel free to bring your meal with you. -Your baby is the boss! We will take lots of breaks, depending on their needs. It can sometimes be frustrating when babies haveadifficultyfallingasleep...pleasedonotworry,wewill get beautiful shots of your baby. Babies can pick up on our feelings, so staying calm always helps them relax too.

-The session takes place at my studio...I have lots of room for you to relax while your baby is in front of the camera. I provide the backdrops and hats and headbands. Feel free to bring along anything you would like, but no need. We keep baby in a deep sleep with a warm space and soft music.

-A majority of the images of your little one will be in the nude. Every baby goes potty on my blankets and it is expected. All of my blankets are machine washed before each session.

What to bring

-wipes and diapers for when baby is feeding

-pacifier....evenifyoudon’tplantousethem.Yourbabywon’t get addicted to it from using it during the session and it helps us get them into a deep sleep. -extra bottles and formula if you are not breast feeding

-a boppy and cover if you are breast feeding

-extra clothes for mom and dad in case there is an accident

-burp clothes

-you are more than welcome to bring along any hats, head bands, or blankets but no need.

-solid onesie in a neutral color for family photos

-entertainment for other children (or dads!)

Photos with your baby

-Your session can include pictures of mom and dad (siblings too!)

-While pictures with your little one are recommended, they are optional. They are only this teeny once and you will treasure them forever.

-Feel free to bring along the clothes you want pictures in a change before your photos. Photos with the parents are at the end of the session. Feel free to do your make up at the studio as well!

-If you have other children you would like to include in the photos,wedothoseimagesfirst,asthesessionstakeseveral hours and young children are not as excited about getting photos after several hours.

What to Wear

-Think layers! Patterns, layers, and texture add visual interest to your photos.

-Be comfortable with what you choose, but push the envelope a little.

-Pick colors from a palette instead of matching. See the next page for some color palettes.

-Start planning now so you can pick up deals and not panic the day before or the morning of the session.

-Another option is to wear solid black and let the baby really pop!

Birth Announcement

-Announcements are 5 x 7, double sided and come in sets of twenty-five.Theyareprintedonlinenpaperandinclude envelopes.

-Use a single image on the back for your recipients to frame -Designs will be available to view at the session, you will also be provided a password to view the cards online -An easy to use worksheet is provided to select the best design, images, and wording for your announcement.

-Announcements are delivered directly to your home within oneweekoffinalapproval.

-The cards are customized in color, font, and image number. I am happy to work with you to make the perfect announcement.

-Tip! Create address labels ahead of time so you can quickly peel and stick when your order arrives.
