professional degree accredited by the Landscape
Architectural Accreditation Board that prepares
students to become licensed landscape architects.
Our innovative approach to education integrates
ongoing, real-world design practice with traditional
classroom learning. Through hands-on studios that
encourage individual thinking and exploration,
students learn to find meaningful design solutions
to 21st-century challenges. Courses combine social
topics like history, policy, diversity, and public art
with technical principles including urban ecology,
site planning, hydrology, planting design, structural
and construction methods, and digital media.
The Highlights
• The federal bureau of labor statistics anticipates a20% growth in the landscape architecture market in thenext 5 years.
• Instructors are professionals in the field and bring currentperspectives on landscape design into the classroom.
• Students begin their degree with a Foundation year, learning the fundamentals of design in multidisciplinarystudios with students from across the BAC’s four schools.
• Students demonstrate mastery of the curriculum throughscholarly research and a comprehensive, practical thesisproject of personal significance and professional relevance.
