Once again we would like to welcome everyone to our annual bull sale. In addition to our regular selection of future herd bulls, we will be dispersing the entire January calving female program and their heifers. Marywood

continues to make it a priority to offer the best animals to build up the foundation of your herd and keep your

business prosperous.

This year’s sale is a little different in that we are missing Ron, but these bulls were bred and culled by Ron and

designed to work in any herd. Ron put over 2 decades into designing his breeding program. His goal always

had a double purpose; he wanted to produce breeding bulls and replacement females. Ron worked hard to shift his herd to where he thought the market was or needed to be. His breeding program had a heavier emphasis on

increasing saleable meat, low birth weight with performance, early maturing and a solid colour pattern. The

cattle we will be dispersing over the next year celebrate this breeding program.

All the bulls have been through the BIO test program and graded for rib eye area, back fat, marbling, scrotal

measurement, hip height and BIO ABC’s (crossbred EPDs). These bulls will produce economic, fast growing

early maturing calves for breeding or market on a budget. Feed efficiency and saleable meat = economics. We will guarantee that our bulls will breed your cows!

A wintering program will be available again this year. The bulls will be fed grain and balage for $3/day. We

hope to have the bulls heading out by March 15th in order to prepare for the spring sale; please speak with

Josh or Rich for extended terms.

Take a look at the females offered by Marywood and Waydamar. We have an excellent offering of replace-

ment and foundation females that have both CSA EPDs and BIO ABCs. You can buy with the confidence and

knowledge that that these females will improve your herd.

In addition, we are glad to offer you a great set of F1 red Angus/Simmental bred heifers from Tony & Astrid Bleumer, red and black Simmental bred heifers from Sanmar Simmentals, and Simmental bred heifers from

Dwayne & Andrea Horst.

We think this offering celebrates our successes in that we have a strong group of high producing males that are

ready to go out and get started in your herd, females that will soon produce an excellent calf, and heifers that

are ready for the breeding of your choice.

As Marywood will be streamlining the operations over the next few months, we will be dispersing Ron's herd

First calf a bull born May 5, 08, 2nd a bull April 9/09, the 3rd a heifer February 24/10 and due in January 2011; fertility we

To be part of the Marywood Sale every December is some-

thing we have been very proud of over the years. To work with such great people makes this annual sale an event that we

look forward to each year.

We have only 6 red bred heifer in the sale this year as our bull cal f numbers were high last year. We commit each year to sell

about a dozen females in this sale and are also consigning 6 young cows that have worked for us and will work for you.

Four of these cows are black and two are red. 4 calve in Janu-ary & February with the other 2 being April calvers.

The service sire used on our bred heifers and 2 cows is Mary-

wood Blk 7S Dice 13W. He was selected in the PIC last spring for his excellent calving ease & maternal numbers, also

performance & carcass EPD’s that are hard to match. The first Superman calves are on the ground and he has exceeded our

expectations. 3 cows are bred to Superman who is a black bull selected for carcass traits and performance from the 2009 PIC

sale. The 99T cow carries the service of Marywood Manhat-ten 44P that needs no introduction.

CERTIFICATES: Each animal offered for sale as registered, must be registered in the Herd Book of the Association. If any animal is offered for sale as eligi-

ble for registration, the seller and the sales manager are responsible for obtaining the certificates of registry and applica tion therefore must be made before

the animal is sold. If the certificate of registry, together with the certificate of transfer are not provided to the buyer within 120 days following the dat e of

the sale, the buyer is entitled at his option to return the animal and to a refund of the purchase price. Certificates of re gistry and transfer shall be provided

by the seller to the buyer and it will be at the buyer’s responsibil ity and expense to transfer certificate of registry and t o register.
