A Better Self for a Better WorldAll-Girls Leadership Conference for Grades 6-8

Saturday, June 8

Middle school is a crucial time for young girls to build strong friendships, find inspiring mentors, and recognize themselves as leaders in their local and global communities. On Saturday, June 8, Marymount High School will host its second annual All-Girls Leadership Conference open to rising 6-8th grade students. This conference is completely run and organized by Marymount students. The conference title, “A Better Self for a Better World,” conveys exactly how Marymount students want to inspire middle school girls.

Our goal is simple: to give young girls the tools necessary to better themselves as well as the world. The morning topics are designed to allow for reflection, discussion, and interactive small group activities. After lunch the focus shifts to leadership in the local and global community, giving girls the opportunity to participate in a service project that offers an immediate impact on the local community. Our promise to you is the day will be filled with meaning, purpose, and tons of fun!

Past morning topics have included confidence, girls have a voice, kindness, and girls supporting girls. Past afternoon topics have included leadership, women serving others, and making a difference in your community.

More information and registration for this conference will be available on the Marymount website by April 1. Please contact the Summer Programs office with any questions.
