Admirable Anthony, so glorious for your miracles and for the favor that Jesus showed on you by coming in the guise of the Divine Child to rest in your arms, obtain from His goodness the grace I long for within my heart. You, so compassionate toward poor sinners, pay no attention to my defects, but to the glory of God which will once again be exalted by you and to my eternal salvation, not separated from the request I am now earnestly making.(Say the grace that lies in your heart)Let my love and charity towards the poor be a token of my gratitude. May I be given the grace to enter heaven with them through your intercession by the grace of Jesus the Redeemer. Amen.

You humbly confessed “My Lord and My God” and sacrificed your life for love of him. We pray to you to strengthen us with love and faith in Jesus Christ so that we may dedicate ourselves totally to the cause of the kingdom of justice, peace and love. We pray that through your intercession we may be protected from all trials, dangers and temptations and be strengthened in the love of the Triune God, Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

His Grace Archbishop George Antonysamy of Madras – Mylapore archdiocese in India will celebrate 7 p.m. Mass on Friday, October 19, along with our bishops and achans.
Madras (Chennai) is on the Southeastern coast of India and has a population of 10.3 million people, with a significant Catholic presence, among whom are many from Kerala. St. Thomas the Apostle came to this part of India after his ministry in Kerala and was mar-tyred and buried at San Thome Basilica.

Archbishop Antonysamy was in the diplomatic service of the Holy See for 27 years and was the
Apostolic Nuncio for Guinea, Liberia, Gambia, and Sierra Leone in Africa, before Pope Benedict asked him in 2012 to lead the archdiocese of Madras - Mylapore. He is also the Vice President of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) and Chairman of the Board of St. John’s Academy of Medical Sciences in Bangalore.
