How Stackable Credentials WorkStackable credentials are a sequence of industry-related credentials that can be expanded over time. Use your credits to work toward earning a degree or increase your qualifications and move up the career ladder.

Industry Certificate (IC): A credential awarded by an industry or industry group that verifies that an individual has met the skills required to work in a given field.

College Credit Certificate (CCC): A credential with specific job skills related to an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree.

Associate in Science Degree (AS): Consists of lower division general education and career technical education college credit courses designed to prepare individuals for entry-level employment.

Advanced Technical Certificate (ATC): Available to students who have already been awarded an associate or bachelor’s degree and wish to enhance their skills.

Bachelor’s Degree (BS): Prepares individuals for entry into employment in targeted occupations. You must complete associate degree requirements before admittance to the bachelor’s degree program.
