After leavingAugsburg the Sisi-Road follows thesteps taken by Sisi during the first31 years of her life and gives youthe opportunity to visit towns andcastles of great historical importance.Visit Sisi’s family seat atUnterwittelsbach as well as Munich,

the place of her birth and the Roseninsel in lakeStarnberg. If you continue along the route towards Italy you can also take in Neuschwanstein castle inFüssen.

The German Danube (Die Deutsche Donau)

The Danube is Europe’s second longest river and without doubt one ofthe most spectacular. Enjoy a trip on the river or ride alongside from itssource to Passau, the city of three rivers, and experience just the very firstquarter of the 2,800 kilometres of the Danube. The Danube provides theideal setting for both cyclists and boat lovers to wend their way gentlydown the river taking in the rich landscape and culture around them andappreciating the proverbial Bavarian hospitality.

The Castle Road(Die Burgenstrasse)

All the way along this romantic route taking you fromMannheim to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Nuremberg,Bayreuth and Prague one has the feeling that history

is still very much alive. The 70 or so fortresses, castles and palaces along the route are ready andwaiting for you to visit. Numerous museums, mediae-val towns and enchanting buildings full of cultural treasures line the route through the most attractive oflandscapes and bear witness to a time long gone.
