Rear Panel ConnectionsThe JUNO-Gi does not contain an amp or speakers. In order to produce sound, youll need to connect the rear panel OUTPUT jacks to an audio devicesuch as an amplied speaker system (subsequently reerred to as speakers), or use headphones.

MIDI connectors p.133For connecting MIDI device.

    PEDAL jacks p.30

HOLD jackHere you can connect a pedal switch(such as one rom the DP series; soldseparately) and use it as a Hold pedal.

CONTROL jackHere you can connect an expressionpedal (EV-5; sold separately) and useit to control various parameters orunctions.

    * Use only the specied expression pedal (EV-5; sold

separately). By connecting any other expression pedals, you

risk causing malunction and/or damage to the unit.

    NOTE

To prevent malunction and/or damage to speakers or other devices, always turn down the volume, and turn o the power on all devices beoremaking any connections.

When connection cables with resistors are used, the volume level o equipment connected to the inputs (AUDIO INPUT jacks) may be low. I thishappens, use connection cables that do not contain resistors.

Howling could be produced depending on the location o microphones relative to speakers. This can be remedied by:

    1. Changing the orientation o the microphone(s). 2. Relocating microphone(s) at a greater distance rom speakers. 3. Lowering volume levels.

    LINE OUT jacks

    o your stereosystem

    OUTPUT jacks o your keyboard

Output jack o your digitalaudio player

I you connect a guitar or bass, set this toGUITAR.

I youre using a condenser microphone, connect it to the balanced (XLR) jack andchoose the PHANTOMON setting.(Phantom power is not supplied to the phonejack.)

I youre using a dynamic microphone, choosethe PHANTOMOFF setting.

    * Always turn the phantom power of when connectingany device other than condenser microphones thatrequire phantom power. You risk causing damage iyou mistakenly supply phantom power to dynamicmicrophones, audio playback devices, or other devicesthat dont require such power. Be sure to check thespecications o any microphone you intend to use byreerring to the manual that came with it.(This instruments phantom power: 48 V DC, 10 mA Max)

AUDIO INPUT jacks p.92Connect the equipment that youll be recording on theDigital Recorder.

Use the LINE jacks to connect your audio player or audiodevice.

Connect your microphone or guitar to the GUITAR/MIC jackas shown in the illustration.

To adjust the level, use the [LEVEL]knob located at the let o the jacks.Adjust the knob so that the rontpanel PEAK indicator lights orangeduring the loudest passages. I thisindicator lights red, input overloadhas occurred.

This instrument is equipped with balanced (XLR/TRS) typejacks. Wiring diagrams or these jacks are shown below. Makeconnections ater rst checking the wiring diagrams o otherequipment you intend to connect.
