3.10 GANCIO ANTIFURTO

Non agganciare la catena a strutture mobili e/oveicoli in sosta.Accertarsi sempre della perfetta stabilità delveicolo in fase di “sosta ancorata”.Non appoggiare la catena antifurto (solitamentecontenuta in tubolare di materia plastica) sullamarmitta o altre parti particolarmente calde.Non viaggiare mai con la catena antifurto che nonsia stata preventivamente ed opportunamenteriposta all’interno del vano portacasco (o delbauletto posteriore, se presente).Fare attenzione alla marmitta ancora calda, dopoaver spento il veicolo, per evitare scottature.

3.11.1 SPIA ANOMALIA ELETTRICA / SERVICE
Quando si ruota la chiave di avviamento nelcommutatore nella posizione , senza avviare ilmotore, la spia arancione (oltre alla spia rossa )
funzionalità, dopodiché in situazione normale si spegne.
•Indica un malfunzionamento dell’impianto elettricodel veicolo, rivolgersi tempestivamente ad un CentroAutorizzato MALAGUTI.
•eseguire la manutenzione programmata (vedi laTabella di Manutenzione, cap.5.2), rivolgersi ad unCentro Autorizzato MALAGUTI.
In entrambi i casi e come ad ogni interventoprogrammato, sarà cura del Centro AutorizzatoMALAGUTI azzerare la segnalazione SERVICEdopo aver effettuato l’intervento necessario.
Gli intervalli di segnalazione SERVICE della spia
quanto riportato nella Tabella di Manutenzionea seconda delle condizioni di utilizzo delveicolo, dei percorsi, ecc. Anche in tali casirivolgersi ugualmente ad un Centro AutorizzatoMALAGUTI.
3.11.2 OROLOGIO DIGITALE
Per le funzioni• lettura della data e del mese
premere 1 volta il pulsante superiore (dopo alcuniistanti riappare automaticamente l’orario.
• Lettura dei secondipremere 2 volte consecutivamente il pulsante
premere ulteriormente il pulsante.Per la messa a punto dell’orario e del calendario, siinterviene sui due pulsanti alla destra del quadrante,partendo dalla visualizzazione dell’orario.• messa a punto del mese
premere consecutivamente 2 volte il pulsanteinferiore, successivamente selezionare col pulsantesuperiore la cifra esatta.
• messa a punto della datapremere consecutivamente 3 volte il pulsanteinferiore, successivamente selezionare col pulsantesuperiore la cifra esatta.

4.1 CONSIGLI

4.2 RODAGGIO

4.4 AVVIAMENTO MOTORE
La trasmissione automatica mette in rotazionela ruota posteriore, anche per piccole rotazionidella manopola del gas. Rilasciare con cautela ilfreno dopo l’avviamento, avendo cura di dosaregradatamente il gas.
Non avviare il motore in locali chiusi, perchè igas di scarico sono altamente tossici.
Non azionare il pulsante «START» con serbatoiovuoto, né ruotare in «ON» il commutatore a chiave,per non danneggiare il sistema di iniezione.
Se il motore non si avvia, rilasciare l’interruttoredi avviamento, aspettare qualche secondo, poipremerlo di nuovo. Non azionare l’avviamentoper più di 10 secondi per ogni tentativo, per nonesaurire l’energia della batteria. Per garantire lamassima durata del motore, non accelerare maia fondo a motore freddo.
IMPORTANTE! Per garantire la massima duratadella batteria, raccomandiamo di effettuarel’avviamento del veicolo con i fari spenti.

5.1 MANUTENZIONE
AVVERTENZE
É assolutamente necessario, per la sua sicurezza, perquella degli altri e per garantire un buon funzionamentodel veicolo, far effettuare, alle scadenze programmatenella tabella riportata a pag.27 del presente Manuale,gli interventi di Manutenzione Ordinaria.
La mancata effettuazione di questi interventi puòpregiudicare il corretto funzionamento del veicolo, contutte le relative conseguenze e la NON OPERATIVITA’DELLA GARANZIA.
Per le informazioni riguardanti lemodalitàdiapplicazionedella Garanzia, consultare il “Libretto di Garanzia e diServizio”.
Per eventuali anomalie di funzionamento, si consigliadi non aspettare il chilometraggio del successivotagliando, ma di segnalarlo subito ad un CentroAutorizzato MALAGUTI per porvi rimedio.
Prima di iniziare qualsiasi intervento sul veicolo,arrestare il motore, rimuovere la chiave di avviamentoed attendere il completo raffreddamento del motore,dell’impianto di scarico e del circuito di raffreddamentomotore, per evitare ustioni.
Nelle operazioni di manutenzione, utilizzare sempreguanti ed occhiali protettivi ed accertarsi che le partitermiche del veicolo si siano raffreddate, per evitarescottature.
ILPRIMOTAGLIANDOsieffettuaa1000km;perisuccessivi,vedere la seguente TABELLA DI MANUTENZIONE.
Nel caso fosse raggiunto prima il termine temporaleprevisto per i controlli/tagliandi rispetto al terminechilometrico, effettuare la relativa manutenzioneprogrammata.
Gli intervalli di segnalazione SERVICE della spia(vedere par.3.11.1) potrebbero differire in
Tabella di Manutenzione a seconda dellecondizioni di utilizzo del veicolo, dei percorsi,ecc. Anche in tali casi rivolgersi ugualmente adun Centro Autorizzato MALAGUTI.
Ad ogni intervento programmato, sarà curadel Centro Autorizzato MALAGUTI azzerare lasegnalazione SERVICE dopo aver effettuatol’intervento necessario.

3.11.1 KONTROLLLEUCHTE ELEKTRISCHE STÖRUNG/ SERVICE
Wenn der Zündschlüssel im Zündschloss auf Positiongedreht wird , ohne den Motor zu starten, leuchtetdie orange Kontrollleuchte (wie auch die roteKontrollleuchte ) für einige Sekunden auf, umihre Funktionstüchtigkeit zu prüfen, unter normalenUmständen schaltet sie sich danach wieder aus. Solltesie einschaltet bleiben (konstant leuchtend und/oderblinkend) bedeutet das:• Elektrische Störung (lange und kurze Blinkintervalle
wechseln sich ab): Weist auf eine Störung derelektrischen Anlage des Fahrzeugs hin, unverzüglicheinen MALAGUTI-Vertragshändler aufsuchen.
• SERVICE (15 kurze Blinksequenzen): Zeigt an, dassein Wartungseingriff fällig ist (siehe Wartungstabelle,Kap.5.2), einen MALAGUTI-Vertragshändler aufsuchen.
In beiden Fällen und ist es, wie auch bei allenanderen planmäßigen Wartungsarbeiten,Aufgabe des MALAGUTI-Vertragshändlers,die SERVICE-Anzeige nach Durchführung dernotwendigen Arbeiten wieder rückzustellen.
Die Anzeigeintervalle SERVICE der Kontrollleuchtekönnen je nach Benutzungsbedingungen,
Streckentypologie u.ä. erheblich von den in derWartungstabelle angegebenen Zeitangabenabweichen. Auch in diesen Fällen ist einMALAGUTI-Vertragshändler aufzusuchen.
3.11.2 DIGITALUHR
Zum Aufrufen der Uhrfunktionen wie folgt vorgehen:• Ablesen von Tag und Monat
1-maldenoberenKnopfdrücken(nacheinigenSekundenwird automatisch wieder die Uhrzeit angezeigt).
• Ablesen der Sekunden2-mal hintereinander den oberen Knopf drücken;Um wieder die Ausgangsanzeige aufzurufen, denKnopf erneut drücken.

Gebrauchsvorschriften
4.1 EMPFEHLUNGEN
Jeder Fahrer ist für den Zustand seines Fahrzeuges selbst
wenn das Fahrzeug nicht benutzt wird (wenn es z.B.

4.4 START DES MOTORS
Um starten zu können, muss einer der beiden Bremshebel

DasAutomatikgetriebeaktioniertdasHinterradauchbei geringer Drehung des Gasdrehgriffs. Lassen Sienach dem Start den Bremshebel vorsichtig wiederlos und geben Sie nur allmählich Gas.
Starten Sie den Motor nicht in geschlossenenRäumen. Abgas ist hochgiftig.
Den «START-Knopf» nicht mit leerem Tankbetätigen oder das Zündschloss auf «ON» drehen,damit das Einspritzsystem nicht beschädigt wird.
Springt der Motor nicht an, lassen Sie denAnlasser wieder los und warten einige Sekunden.Drücken Sie den Schalter dann erneut. HaltenSie den Anlasser bei jedem Versuch nicht längerals 10 Sekunden gedrückt, da sonst die Batterieentladen wird. Zur Gewährleistung einer möglichstlangen Lebensdauer des Motors drehen Sie denGasdrehgriff bei kaltem Motor bitte nie ganz auf.
WICHTIG! Um eine maximale Lebensdauer derBatterie zu gewährleisten, empfehlen wir, dasFahrzeug mit ausgeschalteten Scheinwerfern zustarten.

Gewöhnliche Wartung
5.1 WARTUNG
HINWEISE
Zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit und der der anderen sowiezur Gewährleistung der korrekten Funktionstüchtigkeitdes Fahrzeugs ist es unerlässlich, die in der Tabelle diesesHandbuchsaufSeite27angegebenenWartungseingrifferechtzeitig vornehmen zu lassen.
Werden die oben genannten Eingriffe nicht durchgeführt,kann dies die Funktionstüchtigkeit des Fahrzeugsbeeinträchtigen und entsprechende Folgen wie dieAUFHEBUNG DER GARANTIELEISTUNG mit sich bringen.

Bei Störungen der Funktionstüchtigkeit wenden Sie sichsofort an einen MALAGUTI-Vertragshändler, und wartenSie nicht ab, bis der nächste Werkstatt-Service fällig ist.
Vor jedem Eingriff am Fahrzeug muss der Motorabgeschaltet und der Zündschlüssel herausgezogenwerden. Warten Sie, bis der Motor, die Auspuffanlageund das Motorkühlsystem vollständig abgekühlt sind,um Verbrennungen zu vermeiden.Tragen Sie bei Wartungseingriffen immer eine Schutzbrilleund Handschuhe.
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die warmen Teile desFahrzeugs abgekühlt sind, um Verbrennungen zuvermeiden.
DER ERSTE WERKSTATT-SERVICE muss nach 1000 kmdurchgeführt werden. Die weiteren Wartungen sind inder WARTUNGSTABELLE angegeben.
Ist der für Kontrolle oder Werkstatt-Service vorgeseheneZeitabschnitt eher abgelaufen als die angegebeneKilometerzahl erreicht ist, müssen die entsprechendenplanmäßigen Wartungsarbeiten durchgeführt werden.
Die Anzeigeintervalle SERVICE der Kontrollleuchte(siehe Abs.3.11.1) können je nach
Benutzungsbedingungen, Streckentypologieu.ä. erheblich von den in der Wartungstabelleangegebenen Zeitangaben abweichen. Auch indiesen Fällen ist ein MALAGUTI-Vertragshändlerjedenfalls aufzusuchen.
Bei allen planmäßigen Wartungsarbeiten istes Aufgabe des MALAGUTI-Vertragshändlers,die SERVICE-Anzeige nach Durchführung dernotwendigen Arbeiten wieder rückzustellen.

• Zu deren Wartung muss die Mittelblende unterdem Sattel (P-Abb.303 Befestigungsschrauben (V-Abb.30
anheben. Ziehen Sie den Zündkerzenstecker
links heraus (C-Abb.31mit dem mitgelieferten Kerzenschlüssel heraus

über den Wärmegrad der Zündkerze, die Vergasung,die Schmierung und den allgemeinen Zustand
• Nach dem Ausbau der Kerze reinigen Sie die
mit Hilfe einer geeichten Distanzscheibe: Die Distanzmuss 0,6 ÷ 0,7 mm betragen.
• Reinigen Sie die Zündkerze gründlich mit Druckluft,
Ziehen Sie diese nun mit dem Kerzenschlüssel beim
17,5Nm/1,75 kgm.
Zündkerzen mit einem Wärmegrad, der von denempfohlenen Angaben abweicht, können denMotor schwer beschädigen.
Alle Kerzen mit Rissen an der Isolierung oderrostigen Elektroden müssen ersetzt werden.

3.4 FUEL TANK
• Place the vehicle on the centre stand.• Take the ignition key out of the switch block and
insert it into the lock on the left hand side of the seat(Fig.7).
• Open seat by turning ignition key clockwise(B-Fig.8).
• Remove the cap (A-Fig.8• After refuelling, immediately remove any possible
traces of fuel from the vehicle body, since fuel maydeteriorate the vehicle’s outer surfaces.
• The quantity of fuel, as well as a low fuel level, aredisplayed by the corresponding indicator on theright hand side of the instrument board (7-Fig.17).

3.5 COOLANT TANK
To gain access to the engine coolant tank, open thefront compartment using the key and remove theprotective plastic cover (A-Fig.9).
Owing to the particular position of the tank, you cancheck the level of coolant with respect to the “MIN”and “MAX” notches by checking through the sightglass located under upper fairing on the right hand side(F-Fig.9) (as described in chap.5.6 of this manual).
Use the coolant prescribed in this manual - or onehaving identical characteristics - for any toppingup.
Never unscrew the tank cap when the engineis warm, so as to avoid burnings. Do not top upwith water, except in emergency situations, andin this case, have the entire contents of the tankreplaced with a suitable product as soon aspossible.

3.11.1 ELECTRICAL FAULT / SERVICE WARNING LIGHT
When the key is turned to position , without startingthe engine, the orange light (along with the redlight ) come on for a few seconds to test operation.In normal conditions, after the test cycle, the light goes

4.1 SUGGESTIONS

4.4 STARTING THE ENGINE
Before pressing the ignition button, pull the front or rearbrake lever and keep it pulled to start the engine, sincethis lever acts on a special ignition consent switch.
The automatic transmission runs the rear wheel,even when the throttle lever is operated gently.Gradually release the brake after starting anduse the throttle with care.
Never start the engine in a closed area. Exhaustfumes are poisonous.
If the tank is empty, do not operate the «START»button and do not turn the key «ON» as this woulddamage the injection system.
If the engine does not start, release the ignitionswitch, wait a few seconds, then try again. Donot operate the ignition system for more than 10seconds at each attempt, otherwise the battery
engine, do not rev up too roughly when engine iscold.
IMPORTANT! In order to ensure maximum batterylife, we recommend you to turn the engine onwith the lights switched off.

Routine Maintenance
5.1 MAINTENANCE
WARNINGS
It is compulsory to carry out the routine maintenanceoperations, at the deadlines indicated in the table onpage 27 of this manual, in order not only to ensure bothyour safety and that of other people but also correctoperation of the vehicle.
Failure to perform these operations can adversely affectvehicle operation, with all the relevant consequences,including the FORFEITURE OF THE WARRANTY.
For information about the warranty, refer to the“Warranty and Log Book”.
For any operational trouble, we advise you not towait until the kilometres required for the next couponare reached, but immediately contact an AuthorisedMALAGUTI Service Centre to solve this trouble.
Before starting any maintenance work on the vehicle,stop the engine, remove the key and wait for the engine,the exhaust and the cooling systems to be completelycold so as to prevent scorching.
When performing maintenance work, wear protectivegoggles and gloves and make sure that all heated partsof the vehicle have cooled down.
THE FIRST CHECK COUPON must be carried out at 1000 km(625 mi): for subsequent coupons see the MAINTENANCETABLE.
If the time-related scheduled maintenance for changes/coupons is reached earlier than the kilometre-basedone, carry out the relative scheduled maintenance.
SERVICE signal frequency, which is indicated bythe light (see par.3.11.1), may not correspondto the indications provided in the MaintenanceTable. Frequency of scheduled maintenance, infact, depends on how and where the vehicle isused, etc. Also in these cases, contact anywayan Authorised MALAGUTI Service Centre.

• The coolant expansion tank is located inside the frontcompartment and is protected by a plastic cover(chap.3.5).

• Proper care of the plug is important for maintainingthe engine in perfect working order.
• For maintenance, remove the centre partition underthe seat (P-Fig.30screws (V-Fig.30the aid of a screwdriver) sealed onto the two teeth ofthe footboard. Carefully remove the cap by turning itclockwise and anticlockwise alternatively (C-Fig.31);Now, unscrew the spark plug using the specialwrench supplied with the vehicle (all operations onthe spark plug must be performed when the engineis cold).
• Examine the spark plug conditions after areasonably long drive (10-15 km) and after lettingthe engine cool down (at least 10-15 minutes), sincethe sediments and the colour of the insulator canprovide useful information about the heat rating ofthe spark plug, carburetion, lubrication and generalconditions of the engine. A light brown colour of theinsulator, around the central electrode, indicatesgood working order.

5.9 ADJUSTING REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS
• The shock absorbers are equipped with a springpreload ring nut, with which it is possible to adjust thevehicle’s behaviour depending on the load carried,how the vehicle is driven and where.
• The adjustment is carried out using the wrenchsupplied, by acting on the ring nut located in thetop section of the shock absorbers (R-Fig.32); turnanti clockwise to increase spring pre-load (loadincrease).

5.12 ADJUSTING BRAKE LEVERS
Maintenance of the brake levers is limited to the brakechap.5.5).
A soft feeling in the brake levers could indicatethe presence of air in the hydraulic circuit. Inthis event, refer to an Authorised MALAGUTIService Centre for a check and circuit purging, ifnecessary.
5.13 CHECKING PADS AND DISCS OF FRONT/REARBRAKES
• We recommend that you check the front/rear padsand discs every 2,000 km (1,250 mi).
• Check the thickness of the brake pads as indicatedby references A (front), B (rear) (Fig.33-34). Theminimum thickness of the brake lining shall not beless than 2 mm (Fig.35).
• If the thickness of the pads is close to the lowestpermitted limit or if they are damaged, have themreplaced immediately.
It is absolutely necessary to replace the worndiscs and pads as soon as possible. This operationmust be performed by an Authorised MALAGUTIService Centre using only original MALAGUTIspare parts.

FAULTY BRAKING SYSTEMThe vehicle does not brake or the brake lever travel istoo long.
• For both hydraulic brakes, check the oil level in thebrake pump chambers, located on the handlebar,and if necessary, have them topped up or purgedby an Authorised MALAGUTI Service Centre.
• Check the thickness of the brakes pads every1,250 mi (2,000 km).

5.18 STORAGE
To keep the vehicle in good conditions before long term
• Start and run the vehicle for about 10 minutes inorder to drain any water and enable oil to spreadover all internal mechanisms and walls.
• Remove the spark plug and pour a spoon of engine
• Press the starter button a few times so as to allow theoil poured in to lubricate the parts subject to heat.
• Lubricate the control cables.• Cover all metal surfaces with a coat of oil (not on
rubber or plastic parts).• emove the battery and recharge it.• Store the vehicle in a dry place.• During long term storage, make sure there is enough
fuel (approx. 1 litres) in the fuel tank to preserve thefuel pump in good working order. No fuel in the pumpcould cause serious damage.
5.19 CLEANING
To keep each part of your vehicle in perfect workingorder, we advise you to clean it properly.
• Before cleaning, protect the exhaust pipe and makesure that the spark plug and the fuel and oil tankcaps are properly closed.
• For cleaning, never use chemical products, whichmay spoil the vehicle paintwork, plastic and rubbercomponents, etc.
• Avoid using aggressive solvents, which can oxidisemetal parts.
• An excessive water pressure while cleaning thevehicle may damage its mechanical and electricalcomponents, especially those on the front side of thevehicle (handlebar, upper fairing, instrument board,lights, etc.).
• Avoid high pressure washing, for instance pressurisedwashing appliances and the like.
• While cleaning the vehicle, make sure that thecooling surface, situated in the front side, is notclogged by mud, paper, leaves, etc. In the presenceof dirt, clean with a jet of water or air at a moderatepressure.

5.1 ENTRETIEN
AVERTISSEMENTS
Les interventions d’Entretien Curatif doivent absolumentêtreeffectuéessuivant les intervallesprogrammésdansletableau à la page 27seulement votre sécurité et celle d’autrui, mais aussi lebon fonctionnement du véhicule.
La non-exécution de ces interventions peutcompromettre le bon fonctionnement du véhiculeavec toutes les conséquences que cela impliquerait ycompris l’ANNULATION DE LA GARANTIE.
Pour toute information concernant les modalitésd’application de la garantie, consulter le « Carnet deGarantie et d’Entretien ».
Pour toute éventuelle anomalie relative aufonctionnement, il est avisé de ne pas attendre jusqu’aukilométrage de la révision suivante, mais de s’adresser

Mantenimiento ordinario
5.1 MANTENIMIENTO
ADVERTENCIAS
Para su seguridad y la de terceras personas, asícomo para garantizar un buen funcionamiento delvehículo, es absolutamente necesario hacer efectuarlas operaciones de mantenimiento ordinario con lafrecuencia indicada en la tabla de la pág.27 de estemanual.
La inobservancia de estas intervenciones puedeperjudicar el correcto funcionamiento del vehículocon todas las relativas consecuencias, incluida laANULACIÓN DE LA GARANTÍA.
Para las informaciones concernientes las modalidadesde aplicación de la garantía, consultar el “Manual deGarantía y Servicio”.
Si se presentasen anomalías de funcionamiento, seaconseja no esperar a completar el kilometraje para lasiguiente revisión, sino señalarlas enseguida a un CentroAutorizado Malaguti para resolverlas.
Antes de iniciar cualquier intervención sobre el vehículo,apagar el motor, quitar la llave y esperar hasta que elmotor, el escape y el circuito de refrigeración del motorse enfríen por completo para evitar quemaduras.
En las intervenciones de mantenimiento siempre utilizarguantes y gafas protectoras y cerciorarse de que laspartes térmicas del vehículo se hayan enfriado paraevitar quemaduras.
EL PRIMER CUPÓN DE REVISIÓN debe efectuarse a los1000 km; para los siguientes, véase la siguiente TABLADE MANTENIMIENTO.
Si el plazo temporal previsto para la revisión sealcanza antes que el término kilométrico, efectuar elmantenimiento programado correspondiente.
Los intervalos de indicación SERVICE de la luztestigo (véase párr.3.11.1) podrían diferir de

5.12 REGULACIÓN DE LAS PALANCAS DE LOSFRENOS
El mantenimiento se limita al control del nivel del líquidode frenos (cap.5.5).
Una sensación de blandura en las palancas delos frenos puede indicar la presencia de aire enel circuito hidráulico: en ese caso dirigirse a unCentro Autorizado MALAGUTI para efectuar uncontrol y, si fuera el caso, la expurgación delcircuito.
5.13 CONTROL DE LAS PASTILLAS Y LOS DISCOS DEFRENO DELANTEROS/TRASEROS
• Se aconseja controlar el estado de las pastillas y de losdiscos de los frenos delanteros y traseros cada 2.000 Km.
• Controlar visualmente el espesor de las pastillas de frenoscomo se indica mediante las referencias A (delantero),B (trasero) (Fig.33-34). El espesor mínimo del ferodo delas pastillas de freno no tiene que ser inferior a los 2 mm(Fig.35).
• Si el espesor de las pastillas se aproxima al mínimopermitido, o si están estropeadas, sustituirlasinmediatamente.
Es absolutamente necesario sustituir los discos defreno y las pastillas desgastadas lo antes posible.Dicha operación debe ser efectuada por unCentro Autorizado Malaguti, utilizando solamenteRecambios Originales Malaguti.
