(2) Subsequently, the product must be returned in its original shipping carton, together with the return authorization number to the address indicated by MUSICGroup.

(3) Shipments without freight prepaid will not beaccepted.

4 Warranty Exclusions(1) This limited warranty does not cover consumable parts including, but not limited to, fuses and batteries. Where applicable, MUSICGroup warrants the valves or meters contained in the product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from date of purchase.

(2) This limited warranty does not cover the product if it has been electronically or mechanically modifi ed in any way. If the product needs to be modifi ed or adapted in order to comply with applicable technical or safety standards on a national or local level, inany country which is not the country for which the product was originally developed and manufactured, thismodifi cation/adaptation shall not be considered a defect in materials or workmanship. Thislimited warranty does not cover any such modifi cation/adaptation, regardless of whether it was carried out properly or not. Under the terms of this limited warranty, MUSICGroup shall not be held responsible for any cost resulting from such a modifi cation/adaptation.

(3) This limited warranty covers only the product hardware. It does not cover technical assistance for hardware or software usage and it does not cover any software products whether or not contained in the product. Any such software is provided AS IS unless expressly provided for in any enclosed software limitedwarranty.

(4) This limited warranty is invalid if the factory- appliedserial number has been altered or removed from theproduct.

(5) Free inspections and maintenance/repair work are expressly excluded from this limited warranty, inparticular, if caused by improper handling of the product by the user. This also applies to defects caused by normal wear and tear, in particular, of faders, crossfaders, potentiometers, keys/buttons, guitar strings, illuminantsand similar parts.

(6) Damage/defects caused by the following conditions are not covered by this limited warranty:

improper handling, neglect or failure to operate the unit in compliance with the instructions given in BEHRINGER user or service manuals;

connection or operation of the unit in any way that does not comply with the technical or safety regulations applicable in the country where the product is used;

damage/defects caused by acts of God/Nature (accident, fi re, fl ood, etc) or any other condition that is beyond the control of MUSICGroup.

(7) Any repair or opening of the unit carried out by unauthorized personnel (user included) will void the limitedwarranty.

(8) If an inspection of the product by MUSICGroup shows that the defect in question is not covered by the limited warranty, the inspection costs are payable by thecustomer.

(9) Products which do not meet the terms of this limited warranty will be repaired exclusively at the buyers expense. MUSICGroup or its authorized service center will inform the buyer of any such circumstance. If the buyer fails to submit a written repair order within 6 weeks after notifi cation, MUSICGroup will return the unit C.O.D. with a separate invoice for freight and packing. Such costs will also be invoiced separately when the buyer has sent in a written repair order.

(10) MUSIC Group Authorized Resellers do not sell new products directly in online auctions. Purchasesmade through an online auction are on a buyer beware basis. Online auction confi rmations or sales receipts are not accepted for warranty verifi cation and MUSICGroup will not repair or replace any product purchased through an online auction.

5 Warranty transferabilityThis limited warranty is extended exclusively to the original buyer (customer of authorized reseller) andis not transferable to anyone who may subsequently purchase this product. No other person (reseller,etc.) shallbe entitled to give any warranty promise on behalf of MUSICGroup.

6 Claim for damageSubject only to the operation of mandatory applicable local laws, MUSICGroup shall have no liability to the buyer under this warranty for any consequential or indirect loss or damage of any kind. In no event shall the liability of MUSICGroup under this limited warranty exceed the invoiced value of the product.

7 Limitation of liabilityThis limited warranty is the complete and exclusive warranty between you and MUSICGroup. It supersedes all other written or oral communications related to this product. MUSICGroup provides no other warranties for this product.

8 Other warranty rights and nationallaw(1) This limited warranty does not exclude or limit the buyers statutory rights as a consumer in any way.

(2) The limited warranty regulations mentioned herein are applicable unless they constitute an infringement of applicable mandatory local laws.

(3) This warranty does not detract from the sellers obligations in regard to any lack of conformity of the product and any hidden defect.

1 Warranty(1) This limited warranty is valid only if you purchased the product from a MUSIC Group Authorized Reseller in the country of purchase. (2) MUSICGroup* warrants the mechanical and electronic components of this product to be free of defects in material and workmanship if used under normal operating conditions for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase (see the Limited Warranty terms in 4 below), unless a longer minimum warranty period is mandated by applicable local laws. If the product shows any defects within the specifi ed warranty period and that defect is not excluded under 4, MUSICGroup shall, at its discretion, either replace or repair the product using suitable new or reconditioned product or parts. (3) Esta garanta limitada cubre solo el hardware o producto fsico. No cubre por tanto la asistencia tcnica en cuanto a uso del producto o del software ni tampoco ningn producto de software tanto si est contenido en el propio aparato como si es externo. Cualquier tipo de software es suministrado TAL COMO ES salvo que se indique expresamente otra cosa en la garanta limitada del software.

(4) Esta garanta limitada quedar anulada si el nmero de serie asignado en fbrica ha sido modifi cado o eliminado del producto.

(5) Esta garanta excluye expresamente cualquier tipo de revisin gratuita y o trabajo de mantenimiento/reparacin, en concreto, todas aquellas producidas por un uso incorrecto o inadecuado del aparato por parte del usuario. Estotambin se aplica a aquellos defectos producidos por el uso y desgaste normales, en especial de los faders, crossfaders, potencimetros, teclas, cuerdas de guitarra, pilotos y piezas similares.

(6) Los daos/averas ocasionados por las siguientes condiciones NO quedan cubiertos por esta garantalimitada:

uso incorrecto o inadecuado, negligente o el uso de este aparato sin cumplir con lo indicado en las instrucciones facilitadas por BEHRINGER en losmanuales;

la conexin o uso de este aparato en cualquier sistema o forma que no cumpla con las normas tcnicas o de seguridad aplicables en el pas en el que sea usado este aparato;

los daos/averas producidos por desastres naturales/fenmenos atmosfricos (accidentes, incendios, inundaciones) o cualquier otra situacin que quede fuera del control de MUSICGroup.

(7) La reparacin de este aparato o la apertura de su carcasa por cualquier persona no autorizada (incluyendo el propio usuario) anular esta garanta limitada.

(8) En caso de que un examen de este aparato por parte de MUSICGroup demuestre que el defecto o avera en cuestin no queda cubierto por esta garanta limitada, el coste de dicha inspeccin deber ser pagado por elusuario.

(9) Aquellos productos que no cumplan con los trminos de esta garanta limitada sern reparados EXCLUSIVAMENTE con cargo al usuario. MUSICGroup o sus servicios tcnicos ofi ciales informarn al usuario en caso de que se produzca esa circunstancia. Si el usuario no remite una autorizacin de reparacin por escrito en las 6semanas siguientes a nuestra notifi cacin, MUSICGroup devolver la unidad a portes debidos, juntocon una factura por los gastos. En caso de que el usuario haya

remitido la autorizacin de reparacin, esoscostes tambin le sern facturados aparte.

(10) Los distribuidores autorizados MUSICGroup no venden productos nuevos a travs de sistemas de subastas online. Los compradores que accedan a este tipo de subastas se harn responsables plenamente de esas compras. Las confi rmaciones o recibos de compras de subastas online no son vlidas como verifi caciones de garanta, por lo que MUSICGroup no reparar ni sustituir ningn producto que haya sido adquirido a travs de este tipo de sistemas.

5 Transferibilidad de la garantaEsta garanta limitada es aplicable nicamente al comprador original (comprador a travs de distribuidor minorista autorizado) y no es transferible a terceras personas que puedan comprar este aparato al comprador original. Si vous ne trouvez pas votre pays dans la liste, essayez de rgler votre problme dans la section Online Support de la page Support sur le site behringer. com. Autrement, vous pouvez faire une demande de prise en charge par la garantie en ligne sur le site behringer. com AVANT de nous renvoyer le produit. Toutes les demandes doivent tre accompagnes dune description du problme et du numro de srie du produit. Aprs avoir vrifi la validit de la garantie par la consultation du reu ou du bon dachat original, MUSICGroup vous donnera un numro dautorisation de retour (NAR ou RMA).

(2) Le produit doit ensuite tre retourn dans son emballage dorigine avec le numro dautorisation de retour ladresse indique par MUSICGroup.

4 Exclusions de garantie(1) Cette garantie limite ne couvre pas les consommables et/ou pices jetables comme, par exemple, les fusibles et les piles. Dans les cas possibles, MUSICGroup garantit les lampes ou affi cheurs contenus dans le produit contre tout dfaut de pice ou de main duvre pour une priode de quatre-vingt-dix (90) jours partir de la date dachat.

(2) Cette garantie limite ne couvre pas le produit sil a t modifi de faon lectronique ou mcanique. Si le produit doit tre modifi ou adapt pour tre compatible avec une lgislation locale ou nationale relative la scurit ou aux normes techniques, dans un pays qui nest pas le pays pour lequel le produit a t prvu et fabriqu lorigine, cettemodifi cation/adaptation ne sera pas considre comme un dfaut de pice ou de main duvre. Cette garantie limite ne couvre pas ces modifi cations/adaptations, quelles aient t ralises correctement ou non. Selon les termes de cette garantie

limite, MUSICGroup ne pourra pas tre tenu responsable des cots issus de telles modifi cations/ adaptations.

(3) Cette garantie limite ne couvre que laspect matriel du produit. Elle ne couvre pas lassistance technique lie lutilisation dun matriel ou dun logiciel et ne couvre aucun produit logiciel fourni ou non avec le produit. Leslogiciels sont fournis TEL QUEL moins que le logiciel ne soit expressment fourni avec sa propregarantie.

(4) Cette garantie limite nest pas valide si le numro de srie appliqu en usine a t modifi ou supprim duproduit.

(5) Les inspections gratuites et les travaux de maintenance/rparation sont totalement exclus de cette garantie, notamment, si le problme vient dune mauvaise manutention ou de lutilisation du produit par lutilisateur. Cette exclusion sapplique galement aux dfauts et pannes lis par lusure normale, Cest en particulier le cas des Faders, Crossfaders, potentiomtres, touches/boutons, cordesdinstrument de musique, tmoins lumineux et toutes pices ou lments similaires.

(6) Les dommages/pannes causs par les conditions suivantes ne sont pas couverts par la garantie :

Mauvaise manutention ou entretien, ngligence ou non respect de lutilisation du produit selon les instructions donnes dans le mode demploi ou le guide dentretien BEHRINGER.

Connexion ou utilisation de lappareil dune faon ne correspondant pas aux procdures ou lgislations de sret ou techniques applicables dans le pays o le produit a t vendu.

Dommages/pannes causs par lacte de Dieu ou de la Nature (accident, incendie, inondation, etc.) ou toute autre condition au-del du contrle de MUSICGroup.

(7) Toute rparation ou ouverture du botier ralise par un personnel non agr (ce qui comprend lutilisateur) annule immdiatement la garantie.

(8) Si une inspection du produit ralise par MUSICGroup indique que la panne ou le dfaut en question nest pas couvert par la garantie, les cots dinspection seront la charge du client.

(9) Les produits qui ne sont pas pris en charge par les termes de cette garantie seront rpars la charge de lacheteur. MUSICGroup ou ses centres de rparation agrs informeront lacheteur de telles circonstances. Silacheteur ne soumet pas un formulaire de rparation crit dans les 6 semaines suivant la notifi cation, MUSICGroup renverra le produit vos frais avec une facture spare pour les frais de port et demballage. Cescots seront galement facturs sparment une fois que lacheteur a envoy sa demande crite de rparation.

(10) Les revendeurs MUSICGroup agrs ne vendent pas de produits neufs directement dans les enchres en ligne. Les achats raliss dans les enchres en ligne sont laisss lentire responsabilit et aux risques de lacheteur. 4 Garantieausschluss(1) Diese eingeschrnkte Garantie gilt nicht fr Verschleiteile, wie Sicherungen und Batterien. Woanwendbar, gewhrt MUSICGroup fr neunzig (90) Tage ab Kaufdatum die Garantie, dass die im Produkt enthaltenen Rhren oder Anzeigen frei von Material- und Verarbeitungsfehlern sind.

(2) Diese eingeschrnkte Garantie gilt nicht fr Produkte, die auf irgendeine Weise elektronisch oder mechanisch modifi ziert wurden. Sie schliet keine technische Untersttzung fr die Anwendung der Hard- oder Software ein und sie gilt nicht fr Software-Produkte, gleichgltig ob sie im Produkt enthalten sind oder nicht. Die Software wird im IST-ZUSTAND geliefert, sofern ihr keine besondere eingeschrnkte Software- Garantiebeiliegt.

(4) Diese eingeschrnkte Garantie erlischt, wenn die im Werk angebrachte Seriennummer verndert oder entferntwurde.

(5) Diese eingeschrnkte Garantie berechtigt nicht zur kostenlosen Inspektion und Wartung/Reparatur des Gerts, insbesondere wenn die Defekte auf unsachgeme Benutzung zurckzufhren sind. DieGarantie gilt auch nicht fr Defekte durch normale Abnutzung, besonders bei Fadern, Crossfadern, Potentiometern, Tasten, Gitarrensaiten, Leuchtmitteln und hnlichen Teilen.

(6) Unter diese eingeschrnkte Garantie fallen auch keine Schden/Defekte, die verursacht wurden durch:

unsachgeme Handhabung, Nachlssigkeit oder Fehlgebrauch des Gertes entgegen den Hinweisen, die in den Bedienungs- oder Wartungsanleitungen der Firme BEHRINGER aufgefhrt sind;

den Anschluss oder Gebrauch des Produkts in einer Weise, die den geltenden technischen oder sicherheitstechnischen Anforderungen in dem Land, indem das Gert eingesetzt wird, nicht entspricht;

Schden/Defekte, die durch hhere Gewalt/Natur (Unglck, Brand, berschwemmung usw.) oder andere nicht auf die Firma MUSICGroup zurckfhrbare Ursachen bedingt sind.

(7) Die eingeschrnkte Garantie erlischt, wenndas Gert durch nicht autorisierte Personen (einschlielichdemKunden) repariert oder geff netwurde.

(8) Sollte bei einer berprfung des Gerts durch MUSICGroup festgestellt werden, dass der fragliche Defekt nicht unter die eingeschrnkte Garantie fllt, mussder Kunde die Kosten der berprfung tragen.

(9) Produkte ohne Garantieanspruch werden nur gegen Kostenbernahme durch den Kufer repariert. MUSICGroupoder ihr autorisiertes Service-Center wird den Kunden vorab ber die Sachlage informieren. Sollte der Kunde innerhalb von sechs Wochen nach Benachrichtigung keinen schriftlichen Reparaturauftrag mit Kostenbernahme erteilen, wird MUSICGroup das Gert mit einer separaten Rechnung fr Fracht und Verpackung per Nachnahme an den Kunden zurcksenden. Wenn ein Reparaturauftrag gegen Kostenbernahme erteilt wird, werden die Kosten fr Fracht und Verpackung zustzlich, ebenfalls gesondert, inRechnung gestellt.

(10) Autorisierte MUSICGroup Hndler verkaufen neue Produkte nicht direkt in online Auktionen. Kufe in online Auktionen sind mit Risiken behaftet. Besttigungen von Kufen in online Auktionen oder Kaufbelege werden bei der Garantieberprfung nicht akzeptiert und die in einer online Auktion gekauften Produkte werden von MUSICGroup weder repariert nochersetzt.

(EN) Controls (1) Pressing the COUPLE switch links the channels. In couple mode, dynamics are controlled by using channel 1 switches and controls, whereby the control signal is derived from the energy of both side chain channels (true stereo processing).

(2) Use the TRIGGER control in the expander/gate section to determine the threshold below which expansion sets in, so that signals below threshold are reduced in gain. The setting range is from OFF to +10 dB.

(3) If a signal below the adjusted value is applied, the red LED (expansion on) lights up. If the signal gain is above the adjusted value, thegreen LED lights up.

(4) In order to adapt the expander/gate optimally to the program material, use the RELEASE switch to select a short or long release time. Percussive material with little or no reverb at all is usually processed with a short release time (switch not pressed). The long release time is the best choice for slowly decaying or heavily reverberated signals (switch pressed).

(5) The GATE switch allows you to toggle between the expander (switch not pressed) and the gate function (switch pressed). Usethe gate function to mute signals below threshold (e.g. noise).

(6) Use the THRESHOLD control to adjust the compressor threshold from -40 to +20 dB.

(7) These three LEDs (AUTOCOM PRO-XL and COMPOSERPRO-XL only) indicate whether the input signal is above or below the adjusted compressor threshold. The yellow LED in the middle refers to the IKA soft knee range (ifIKA is on).

(8) Activating the SC EXT switch interrupts the link between the signal input and the compressor control section. At the same time, an external control signal can be fed in via the rear panel SC RETURN jack, taking over control of the input signal dynamics reduction.

(9) The SC MON switch links the sidechain input signal to the audio output, thereby muting the audio input signal. For example, thisallows you to pre-monitor the sidechain signal in combination with an equalizer or other device inserted into the sidechain channel.

(10) The RATIO control determines the ratio of input vs. output level with regard to all signals exceeding threshold by more than 10dB. Although the compression starts earlier, the IKA characteristic ensures the smooth, inaudible onset of the gain reduction, whichis why the ratio value will be reached only with 10 dB or more above threshold. It can be set continuously from 1:1 (no compression) to :1 (limiter).

(11) The 12-digit GAIN REDUCTION display (MDX4600: 8-digit) informs you about the current gain reduction applied (1 to 30 dB).

(12) The LO CONTOUR switch activates a high-pass filter in the side-chain path and thus avoids the pumping effect caused by high-energy bass frequencies and their influence on the compression process.

(13) Use the ATTACK control to determine when the compression sets in once the signal has exceeded threshold (MDX1600 and MDX2600only).

(14) Press the INTERACTIVE KNEE switch to change from hard knee to IKA characteristic: Inputsignals exceeding threshold by up to 10 dB will be processed with a soft knee characteristic. Above 10 dB the control characteristic changes from soft knee to a more conventional hardknee compression.

(15) The AUTO function, which is activated with the AUTO switch, disables the ATTACK and RELEASE controls and derives these time values automatically from the programmaterial.

(16) The RELEASE control (MDX1600 and MDX2600 only) sets the time when the original 1:1 gain is reached, after the signal has dropped below threshold again.

(17) Use the TUBE switch (MDX2600 only) to enhance the output signal with the warm and transparent tonal character typically produced by electronic tubes.

(18) The OUTPUT control allows you to raise or lower the output signal by max. 20 dB, so as to make up for a gain loss caused by the compressor or limiter action. Raise the gain by roughly the same amount that it has been reduced by the compressor. TheGAIN REDUCTION display (11) reads the valueadjusted.

(19) The 12-digit INPUT/OUTPUT LEVEL display (MDX4600: 8-digit) reads both the level of the incoming audio signal and the level at the dynamics processor output. The range is from -30 to +18 dB (MDX4600: -24 to +18 dB).

(20) The IN/OUT METER switch selects whether the gain LEDs read the input signal (switchpressed) or the output signal (switchnot pressed).

(21) The IN/OUT switch activates the corresponding channel. It provides a so-called hard bypass, i.e. if it is OUT or the unit is not connected to the mains, the input jack will be linked directly to the output jack (COMPOSER PRO-XL MDX2600 only). Usually,this switch is used for direct A/B comparison between unprocessed and compressed/limited signals.

(22) LEVEL control (MDX1600). The AUTOCOM PRO-XL features an adjustable enhancer, onwhich you can set the amount of treble boost with the LEVEL control.

ENHANCER switch (MDX2600 and MDX4600). Activates the dynamic enhancer.

(23) ENHANCER LEVEL. The LED chain reads the current treble boost within a range from -30to 0 dB (MDX1600 only).

(24) IN/OUT switch (MDX1600). Use this switch to activate the enhancer circuit, e.g. to assess the effect the enhancer has on the audiosignal.

(25) LEVEL control (MDX2600). Instead of an adjustable enhancer, the COMPOSER PRO-XL has a controllable de-esser, which helps you eliminate hiss noise contained in the audio signal. The LEVEL control determines the amount of frequencysuppression.

DE-ESSER switch (MDX1600). The AUTOCOM PRO-XL also has a de-esser. At the touch of a button you can enhance the audio signal considerably, especially when processing vocal recordings. Switch (25) can be found in the compressor section.

(26) DE-ESSER LEVEL (MDX2600). The LED chain reads the current attenuation within a range from +3 to +12 dB.

(27) MALE switch. This switch adapts the de-esser to the male (switch pressed) orfemale registers (not pressed).

(28) IN/OUT switch. Switches the de-esser on and off.

(29) The peak limiter limits the signal to an adjustable level. When the LIMITER control is turned fully to the right, the limiter is switched off. Owing to its extremely fast zero attack, this circuit is capable of limiting signal peaks without any overshoot. If the signal is limited for more than 20 ms, the overall gain is reduced for about 1 s to avoid strong and thus audible limiter effects.

(30) The LIMIT LED lights up as soon as the limiter is on.

(31) FUSE HOLDER/VOLTAGE SELECTOR.

MAINS CONNECTION.

(32) OUTPUTS. These are the audio outputs of your dynamics processor. The two matching 1/4" TRS and XLR connectors are wired in parallel and balanced. Of course, unbalancedcables can be connected here as well.

(33) OPERATING LEVEL switch. This switch can be used to adapt the COMPOSER PRO-XL, AUTOCOM PRO-XL or MULTICOM PRO-XL to various operating levels, i.e. to toggle between home recording level (-10 dBV) and studio level (+4dBu). The level meters will be referenced automatically to the nominal level adjusted, so that the compressor works in its optimum operating range.

(34) INPUTS. These are the audio inputs. They are also on balanced 1/4" TRS and XLR connectors.

(35) SIDECHAIN SEND. This is the unbalanced sidechain output, which allows you to route the audio signal to other devices for externalprocessing.

(36) SIDECHAIN RETURN. The sidechain input allows you to use an external signal or the processed (e.g. with an equalizer) audio signal routed from the SIDECHAIN SEND jack to control your COMPOSER PRO-XL or AUTOCOM PRO-XL.

(ES) Controles (1) Con el conmutador COUPLE presionado los canales estn acoplados. Los elementos de control del canal 1 toman el mando, con lo cual la seal de control se desva de la energa de ambos canales de la cadena lateral (suma estreo real). Activando el conmutador COUPLE se desactivarn todos los conmutadores y reguladores del canal 2 a excepcin de los conmutadores IN/OUT, SCEXT, SC MON, LO CONTOUR e I/O-METER y del regulador OUTPUT. En el modelo MDX4600 el canal 3 controlar correspondientemente el canal 4 en modo acoplado.

(2) Con el regulador TRIGGER de la seccin expansor / puerta de ruido determina usted el nivel de umbral por debajo del cual tiene lugar la expansin, es decir, las seales por debajo de este nivel de umbral se amortiguan. El margen de ajuste se encuentra entre OFF y+10 dB.

(3) Si una seal se encuentra por debajo del valor ajustado se ilumina el LED rojo (expansinen funcionamiento). Si el nivel de la seal se encuentra por encima del valor ajustado, elLED verde se ilumina.

(4) Para adaptar ptimamente el expansor / puerta de ruido al material de programa puede seleccionarse con ayuda del conmutador RELEASE entre un tiempo de retorno corto o largo. El material sonoro de percusin con poca porcin de hall o sin la misma se edita generalmente con un tiempo de retorno breve (conmutador no presionado), mientras que para seales de lenta evanescencia o con una fuerte porcin de hall se selecciona preferentemente un tiempo de retorno largo (conmutador presionado).

(5) Con el conmutador GATE selecciona usted entre la funcin expansor (conmutador no presionado) y la funcin puerta de ruido (conmutador presionado). Con la funcin puerta de ruido puede usted suprimir seales que se encuentren por debajo del valor de ajuste (p. Ej., ruidos).

(6) Con el regulador THRESHOLD ajusta usted el punto de aplicacin del compresor en un campo de -40 hasta +20 dB.

(7) Tres diodos de luz (slo en el AUTOCOM PRO-XL y el COMPOSER PRO-XL) indican si la seal de entrada se encuentra por encima o por debajo del punto de aplicacin ajustado del compresor. El LED central amarillo seala el campo IKA soft knee (con caracterstica de regulacin IKA activada).

De este modo puede usted, por ejemplo, asignarle al punto esencial de la funcin de regulacin un campo de frecuencia determinado alimentando un ecualizador a travs de las tomas SC SEND y SC RETURN. Enel Captulo 3 EJEMPLOS PARA APLICACIONES DE LA CADENA LATERAL encontrar mayor informacin en relacin a este modo de empleo especial. nicamente el AUTOCOM PRO-XL y COMPOSER PRO-XL poseen esta funcin.

(9) Con el conmutador SC MON se crea una conexin entre la seal de entrada de la cadena lateral y la salida de audio, conmutndose simultneamente a mudo la seal de entrada de audio. Este dispositivo permite la escucha preliminar el la seal de la cadena lateral, por ejemplo, en conjunto con un ecualizador alimentado o con otro aparato alimentado en el canal de la cadena lateral. Lafuncin SC MONITOR facilita as, por ejemplo, la determinacin del filtro del ecualizador para la seal de control.

(10) El regulador RATIO determina el comportamiento del nivel de entrada al nivel de salida para todas las seales que superen el punto del nivel de umbral en ms de 10dB. La compresin se inicia ya antes, pero la caracterstica IKA cuida de una aplicacin suave e inaudible de la reduccin del nivel. Por lo tanto, el valor ratio se alcanza primero a partir de 10 dB por encima del ajuste. stepuede ajustarse sin etapas en el campo de 1:1 (ninguna compresin) hasta :1 (funcin limitador).

(12) El conmutador LO CONTOUR activa un filtro de paso alto en la va de la cadena lateral y elimina el bombeo que se ocasiona en el comportamiento de regulacin del compresor debido a la influencia de las frecuencias bajas ricas en energa.

(13) Con el regulador ATTACK determina usted cundo tiene lugar la compresin una vez se ha superado el punto del nivel de umbral (sloMDX1600 y MDX2600). El campo comprende 0,3 hasta 300 milisegundos.

(14) Presionando el conmutador INTERACTIVE KNEE puede usted conmutar de la caracterstica hard knee a la caracterstica IKA: si las seales de entrada superan el punto del nivel de umbral ajustado en hasta 10 dB entonces sern editadas con la caracterstica soft knee. Por encima del campo de los 10dB la caracterstica de regulacin pasa a ser la compresin hardknee convencional. Lacaracterstica IKA ofrece una compresin de programa discreta y musical, y por lo tanto debe seleccionarse a menos que se desee intencionadamente un efecto de compresinaudible.

(15) Activando la funcin AUTO mediante el conmutador AUTO se desactivan los reguladores ATTACK y RELEASE, y los tiempos de ataque y relajacin se desvan automticamente del material de programa. Esta funcin hace posible una compresin elevada y al mismo tiempo musical para seales con niveles de fuerte variacin o de material de programa complejo.

(16) El regulador RELEASE (slo MDX1600 y MDX2600) determina cundo se alcanza la amplificacin original de 1:1 (tiempo de retorno), una vez el nivel de la seal haya cado nuevamente por debajo del valor del nivel de umbral ajustado. El campo comprende 0,05 hasta 5 segundos.

(17) Con el conmutador TUBE (slo MDX2600) le confiere usted a la seal de salida el tpico carcter de sonido transparente y clido, como el que se crea a partir de vlvulaselectrnicas.

(18) El regulador OUTPUT hace posible el aumento o bien la disminucin de la seal de salida en un mximo de 20 dB. De este modo la prdida de nivel puede igualarse a travs del proceso de compresin o de limitacin. Eleveel nivel aproximadamente la misma cantidad que se ve disminuido como consecuencia de la compresin. Puede realizar la lectura de este valor en el indicador GAIN REDUCTION (11).

(19) El indicador INPUT/OUTPUT LEVEL de 12dgitos (en el MDX4600: de 8 dgitos) leinforma tanto acerca del nivel de la seal de audio entrante como del nivel en la salida del procesador de dinmica. El indicador comprende el campo de -30 hasta +18 dB.

(20) Con el conmutador IN/OUT METER selecciona usted si los LEDs de nivel indican la seal de entrada (conmutadorpresionado) o la seal de salida (conmutador no presionado).

(21) Con el conmutador IN/OUT se pone en funcionamiento el canal correspondiente. Elconmutador presenta la as llamada funcin hard bypass, es decir, en la posicin no presionada del conmutador (OUT) o cuando el aparato se encuentra separado de la red, latoma de entrada se encuentra directamente conectada con la toma de salida (nicamenteen la MDX2600). Elconmutador se emplea generalmente para hacer posible una comparacin A/B, esdecir, unacomparacin de escucha entre la seal sin editar y la seal comprimida o bienlimitada.

(22) Regulador LEVEL (MDX1600). El AUTOCOM PRO-XL dispone de un potenciador ajustable con el que puede usted regular el grado de elevacin de agudos con ayuda del reguladorLEVEL.

Conmutador ENHANCER (MDX2600 y MDX4600). ste activa el potenciadordinmico.

(23) ENHANCER LEVEL. La cadena de LED indica la elevacin de agudos actual en un campo de -30 hasta 0 dB (slo MDX1600).

(24) Conmutador IN/OUT (MDX1600). Coneste conmutador puede usted activar la conmutacin del potenciador para, porejemplo, poder escuchar en comparacin directa el efecto sobre la seal de audio.

(25) Regulador LEVEL (MDX2600). En lugar de un potenciador regulable, el COMPOSER PRO-XL posee un deesser regulable con cuya ayuda puede usted suprimir los sonidos sibilantes en la seal
