CATEGORISING CONTRACTORS
Categorising must take into account risk factors including; the strategic value of the works to be carried out, the level of risk posed to Siemens Energy by using a contractor for the scope of works, the complexity of the works and the skill requirements of the contractor.
The categorisation must also consider the type of relationship envisaged between Siemens Energy and the contractor. Transactional relationships can be more typical to lower risk, routine services, whereas for complex and higher risk contracts there may be a desire to have a partnership relationship with the contractor for mutual EHS benefit.
