What is e-mail Squeezing?The less e-mail you have, the easier you can detect a specific e-mail as well

as the easier management of your HDD space. To be sure, nowadays

there are full-text search software like Google desktop, However thosetools only helps you to list up e-mails you want to find.

In order to specify a very best e-mail you are looking for, I think you havebetter to keep least number of e-mailsby deleting meaningless e-mails as a usual practice.

e-mail Squeezing functionality is an automatic loop of following handover &disposal process

(1)If a pair of e-mail subject are the same and a newer e-mail contains whole contents of an

older email, then MailShaver considers the older e-mail are obsolete enough.

(2) MailShaver tries to handover any attachment file from the obsolete e-mail to the newer e-mail, as long as attachment filename filename are not handed over the newer e-mail.

(3) After handing attachments over newer e-mail, MailShaver moves older obsolete e-mailsto 2ndTrashBox

(4) It also can help you group/categorize/ re-format the mails under a certain e-mail folder.

Other useful features

Disabling sent item tray will help you concentrate on inboxonly. MailShaver instantly moves sent items to inbox. Unfortunately ,MS-Outlook classification rule seems to be only able to make a copy of a sent item in some folder.

Inbox watchdog alerts arrival of e-mail against specific

character strings of recipient .This is especially useful if you are using Outlook 2000

When your Outlook hangs and reboots, Outlook takes long

times to repair your PST(Private Storage file). MailShaver cansend a mail to your mobile phone telling you the completion ofthe re-boot

Simple web browser which throws pre-set prefix & suffix of

URL character strings to some websites.This would be useful to look up dictionary on the web.

Limitation / known problem MS-Outlook itself gradually consumes memory heap.

If you use Task Manager of Windows, you can easily observe how MS-Outlookconsumes memory as you open different e-mail one after another.

Unfortunately, Current version of MailShaver consumesmuch more memory heap due to reference counterproblem while you run Squeezing functionality.Therefore maximum number of e-mails you can squeeze atonce will depends on how much RAM capacity your PC has.

Mail Squeezing feature basically can recognize e-mailpartitions sent by Outlook, Outlook Express, LotusNotes/Domino, Eudora, Becky!, and some web-mailers.MailShaver recognizes e-mails written with mailers abovehaving date/timestamps in English, Spanish, Japanese,and

Chinese. However, MailShaver occasionally fails torecognize non-standard e-mail partitions stamped by theseeligible mailer in eligible timestamp locale.For your Information, You can find basic recognition patterns in [MaiShaver_InslattedFolder] conf*.skin files.
