Magnat pursues clearly defined targets: the perfect reproduction of music and speech without losing sight ofthe "fun factor". Music in cars should also possess thecharacter of a live performance that enables drivers to"feel" the music.

Prefabricated standard components are often not good enoughfor music to be experienced at the highest of levels of quality.There is only one way to achieve this objective and that is byusing purpose-built components. That's why Magnat developsits own technologies which are then used exclusively in Magnat products. The "AF Tech" and "Solid max cone" technologies, for instance, constitute revolutionary progress inthe engineering of car hi-fi loudspeakers. Decades of experience, passion and an absolute determination always tocreate something new and better is the force that drives ourdesign team.

LATEST MEASURING SYSTEMS |Magnat employs complex measuring systems and simulation software in its design and development. For instance, the laser-controlled Klippel-system now permits measurements tobe made in the reality-proximate dynamic range. The best contemporary measuring instruments e.g. "Audio Precision"and "Rohde & Black" are also used in the development of ourelectronic components.

Once the system has been approved for production, the demands on quality are continued in series production and qualitycontrol. Both our development laboratory andheadquarters in Pulheim near Cologne and allof our production sites have been certified in

accordance with ISO 9001:2000.The many international awards and test successes provide further confirmation of our capacity to perform at the highestlevel.

TECHNOLOGY |

Air-flow technology: Innovative aluminiumdiecast basket with aero-dynamically

designed basket struts minimising air turbulence and thereforeensuring as far as possible, compression-free throw. Largestpossible air vents reduce turbulence and precisely calculatedcooling surfaces worked into the basket help improve heat con-duction away from the voice coil.
