1. Title of the Practice: Mock Interview

2. Goal: To give real experience of interviews conducted by companies during campus recruitment drives.

3. Context:

The main focus was to improve students' interview skills because most students find these things difficult during the recruitment process despite good academic records.

This comprehensive training ensures that our students can handle the recruitment process with confidence irrespective of the company that is coming onto campus and the test pattern that they are using.

4. Practice:

Department of Computer Science organized Mock Interviews for MCA Science, MCACommerce and M.Sc. Computer Science as a pre placement activity on 28th September 2013. These interview sessions helped students to be aware of different interview questions. The sessions gave students real experience of interviews conducted by companies during on campus recruitment drives.

Alumni having number of years' experience were invited to conduct interview sessions. Following is the list of interviewers from different IT companies.

5. Evidence of success:

The mock sessions got tremendous response and there were in all 114 registrations. Following is the list of students registered for the session.

6. Problem Encountered and Resource required:

The problem we face about the students from rural background. It is difficult to teach them how to face interview without fear and with proper body language.

Along with the technical subject questions we need taught them these things also.

Some difficulties we have while gathering all alumni at the same time/managing time of all alumni as they are working everyone has different schedule.
