The last few months have seen movement among those involved in the Mabelvale Hispanic work. Some who moved away for a while have returned and some have moved back to their home countries. There have been several visitors present recently and several Bible

studies have been taught. There have been visitors who at first seemed interested, but after studying the truth for a while chose to seek something less. Every person, no matter who they are, must decide whether or not they will believe and obey the gospel.

Juan Galicia needed to return to his home in the state of Jalisco in Mexico back in the spring to help his family, but he has recently moved back to Little Rock and is worshiping with us again.

The Hernandez family moved to Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico in late July where they are trying to start a new congregation. They were very faithful and helpful while living in the Little Rock area, and already are greatly missed. You can write to them as Atzin reads English. Wayne Brewer traveled to Costa Rica in July for campaign work in Miramar and Tilaran for evangelism, Bible studies, VBS, Bible classes and preaching.

Peru Campaign Work

Wayne traveled to Lima, Peru in South America in early August to preach and work with the congregations of San Juan de Miraflores and Los Olivos. The work consisted of preaching, door-knocking and in home Bible studies. There were about 350 Bible studies conducted during the two campaigns in Lima.

Christians at the Miraflores congregation in Lima, Peru (Most of these brethren were going door to door to teach the gospel)

Latvia Campaign Work

Wayne will return to Riga, Latvia, October 18, to participate in preaching and teaching the gospel. This will be his seventh trip to Latvia where he will work with the congregation in Riga, Randy Watson, local missionary, and Michael Wyatt. A special effort will be made this year to have children and teen Bible classes. Thank you to you who are providing financial support toward the Hispanic work at Mabelvale, as well as those who have financially supported the campaign trips during 2005: Mabelvale for support to Costa Rica, 39th Street in Independence, Missouri for support to Peru, and Latvia, and individual brethren for support to Latvia. Mexico Campaign Work - Plans are to take a group to Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico (December 28 – January 1).

Special Needs by Native Preachers

Ofilio Castañeda , Preacher at Tilaran, Costa Rica

Preachers from Peru: Rodolfo Espinosa, Israel Yarleque Taboada, and Juan Nima.

If you have a desire to support these brothers preach the gospel in their own country or have questions about them, please contact Wayne. Wayne Brewer, Mabelvale Church of Christ, P.O. Box 345, Mabelvale, AR 72103 (501)-455-3397 [email protected]

Ofilio Castañeda, faithful preacher at Tilaran needs financial support in 2006. He has $200 per month and needs $500. He and his wife, Maria, live in the back of the church building and are hard workers. Help of $10 or $25 per month, or even a one-time check for support 2006 would be a tremendous help to the cause of Christ in Tilaran. We know Ofilio and the congregation well, having worked there for the last four years.

Israel supports himself and his family, and preaches. He is trying to start a new congregation in Piura, Peru, which is a larger city, and he is only seeking $125 per month to assist him in this effort. He is preaches the word and is worthy of support.
