Dear Members Time flies by so fast and now it is the year 2014 and I wish all of you a Happy New Year. To all who celebrate the Lunar New Year, this is the Year of the Horse and may good health and wealth gallop your way! We have lined up two events during the Lunar New Year period, a Lion Dance Performance and the Loh Hei Night for you to enjoy!
The lion dance performance is scheduled for Sunday, 9 February 2014 at 12.30pm. I invite all members to come on down to the Club to witness the performance and share the New Year spirit together with us. Refreshments will be served after the performance.
Loh Hei Night will be on Saturday, 8 February 2014 which will be held in the restaurant. Do sign up for this event and we can all toss yu-sheng together for a prosperous Year of the Horse. Huat Ah!!! We just held our annual dinner and dance and I would like to say a big thank you to all the members who attended the event, the organising committee and the Club staff for making it a wonderful and enjoyable evening; not forgetting the sponsors for their generous gifts for the lucky draw prizes.
I would also like to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to the 135 new members who joined via the recent Ultimate Offer and all the members who referred them! Even though I was hoping the numbers would be higher, I remain optimistic as I believe “many a little makes a mickle”. It is comforting to see many new faces utilising the Club’s facilities; vindicating our decisions and that we are on the right track.

9/2/14To welcome the Lunar Year of the Horse we have arranged a Lion Dance performance to be performed by the Lion Dance Troupe on Sunday, 9th February 2014 at 12.30pm.

The Club celebrated its 25th Anniversary as a members’ club on Saturday, 28 December. Crazy Hats was the theme for this year and participants came sporting all sorts of headgear befitting the occasion! Club Chairman, Mr Wilson Chua and the Social & Events Chairman gave a short address to kick off the evening.
Held in the Club’s restaurant operated by Goldenbeach, participants enjoyed a sumptuous 8 course dinner, games, performances and dancing. The Club’s resident band, Adil & Friends provided live music and emcee for the evening was professional deejay, Jason Kai. “Iron Will” performed extreme escape acts that awed the crowd and a surprise performance by the members of the organising committee entertaining with
a song and dance number. Another surprise of the evening was having Michael Teo, the owner of the restaurant operation on stage singing his version of “Shanghai Beach”! It was indeed an enjoyable evening filled with fun, hilarious moments and surprises!
The night ended with a cake cutting ceremony and everyone sang “Always Be Best of Friends” together signifying the friendship of the members of the Club; followed by lucky draws and members of the Club had two chances of winning as there was a general draw and members-only draw!
