Lower Churchill Project – Nalcor Energy

The Client Panalpina, a global leader in supply chain solutions, in conjunction with project owners Nalcor Energy The Requirement The client is delivering the Lower Churchill Project in Newfoundland Labrador; a large hydroelectric plant in Muskrat Falls and the Gull Island. A large quantity of 20 DV’s and 40 DV’s were required for tower steel shipment from Dubai, Mumbai and Houston, via chartered or commercial vessel, to the project site in Labrador. All units were required to have one year CSC plate validity, with CSC Certificates issued at time of release. Dubai: 404 x 20 DV’s and 608 x 40 DV’s In Dubai, a loaded storage facility was required for up to 500 TEU at a time to be stored before being shipped on a charter vessel. Mumbai: 111 x 20 DV’s & 101 x 40 DV’s Houston: 169 x 40 DV's Daily Reporting: IGLU reported to Panalpina on a daily basis, any container activity, using a specified container log file for reporting for easy reference.
